And if your shootin it straight then you need oregon first since not only are they the best team this year.  They are the best team we have seen in 8 years.   And lets not kid ourselves, alabama is the second best team and the only team that can give oregon a sweat.

This is trash. UGA chokes when they play good teams? They beat one of your top ten teams!!

Boom...if you weren't a Clemson fan you would say..."who has Clemson beat?  No one."  Not to mention, we got absolutely embarrassed by West Va. last year in the bowl.  Just like Georgia, we struggle to win the big games.

If Ga. Tech is our best win (according to non-biased computers), then Georgia has 4 wins better than our best win including a great win against Florida.

If you can't base rankings on who teams actually beat, then everything is subjective, right?

one reason for that is that have beaten all the teams they have played, thus their opponents have a VERY small chance of being in the top 10 after having amassed a loss or 2.

its a great sight for the rest of college football that the sec wont stake their claim.

You are forgetting the fact that Alabama will still meet Oregon in the NC game.. I think Oregon wins, but you are wrong because the sec still gets a CHANCE to stake their claim.

And for you simpletons that question how?
Texas will beat KSU.
USC will beat ND.
Alabama drills Georgia in the sec champ game and is the best 1 loss team.

Just like Chokelahoma was going to roll ND right?

If ND handles USC regardless of how State and the Ducks finish out ND is in title game. Computers love ND a big win against USC will give them the push needed in the human polls to move up to number 2.

Um ND has not played a single current top 10 team. Are you really counting a win over Mich State who is 5-5 a top 10 win? Because they were ranked in the top 10 in the preseason before they played anyone?

As long as The Ole Ball Coach is on the sidelines SC will own Clemson..  Bottom Line

SC will score at will on CU.

Clemsons football fans are kind of like NC State basketball Fans,  They love to hang on to History.  neither have done any thing since the early 80s.
What are you going to say when SC beats Clemson?

South Carolina's d-line is going to destroy Clemson's o-line. Spurrier owns Dabo.

Clemson and their 90th SOS is going to need to show more then beating Auburn by 7 and giving up over 30 to BC for people to take them seriously.

What is Clemson's best win? Honest question.

Great football talk!!!

It's funny how everyone thinks they are right without any wiggle, reminds me of our elected politicians. Anyway, Oregon is heads and shoulders above any of these teams, including a fresh Alabama team. I think I would include LSU ahead of FSU and probably include Florida a little higher. ND has gotten it done all year but I believe they would be double digit dogs to any of the other 4 teams in the top 5.

Love it when people think they are being objective when football is very subjective, Some of you tards think you can rank teams simply based on stats. Football is a game you simply cant quantify.
if you could, the favorite would win 90% of the time. Problem is you cant factor intangibles. The ball bounces funny. Players rise to the occasion. Teams play better/worse at home. Some refs are homers. Some coaches choke.

Sometimes you think you are on the outside looking, when in fact you are simply inside the "square". Some people know football, and some people know football. Arguing is futile. Too many "ifs" and "buts" ......Focus on the present, but keep a weary eye on the past and future.....Its simple and complicated. Some of you will get what I'm saying, others will think I'm crazy.....

this is 100% right on

The thing most people dont "get" is that these are 18 - 22 year old kids. Every week you have a different team.

as much I dont like ole Lou Holtz he is absolutely correct when he says that every week he had to prepare his team not just physically, but mentally as well. Teams in college football change like the wind. Experience and knowing what you have seen in the past helps you from time to time and it gives you a small advantage.

Boom,

Back from Vegas. I am glad to see that you have the Gators in your top 10. According to you, it looks like UF have played a pretty tough schedule. 4 out of your top 10 teams and still are 9 - 1. The offense may have its issues, but we do win.

Boom is right that clemson beats SC but i think it's much closer than you think. Sorry bud. SC'S secondary is legit and their d line is second to no one, not even LSU. Add the ball coach to that equation and it's a tight game. SC's d line Will give them fits all night but they pull it out late with a field goal.
They are still a wild card team tho. If ND gets an at large bid clemson might be out of the BCS games.
