It's comical that you guys make this into whose better. When it comes to Notre Dame its about everything EXCEPT whose better
Why are they trying to get into the ACC then
College football doesnt need ND anymore |

#28 Posted: 11/3/2012 8:24:40 PM You are kidding right? That's the worst number 3 team I have ever seen. Pittsburgh man handled them until they choked at the end. And let's not forget the phantom interference call that gave them a chance to even be in the game. But, of course, what do you expect from as the media would love nothing more than to see this over rated bunch of pseudo catholic pussies in the national championship. Any arguments will not be tolerated, as they will be viewed as they are...nonsense. |

Thats the dumbest thing I heard....
If ND was so powerful and so needed by college football....why would they change anything about what they do???
Let alone work with the ACC
Sorry bud, ND is not important anymore
If Bama, Ducks, K St and ND all stay undefeated....ND is ranked 4th |

#34 Posted: 11/3/2012 8:46:48 PM Right because "almost" beating someone counts towards their record. You can cry that ND wins ugly but when they are undefeated at the end of the year and play for the NC you can create your thread about it. |

Not trying to get into ACC they are in in 2014 when BCS switches to playoff. With the change in the system ND has to join a conference to keep a seat at the table. Also from T.V. and recruiting basis joining the ACC is great for ND and great for the ACC. Also ND is always relevent to college football even when the suck, if they weren't you wouldn't be here talking about them.

Wrong!!
They are joining the ACC because the other "automatic" bid confer dont want them
They realize they arent powerful enough for BCS games without the for sure autobids..
They have no chance to make it if 4 teams stay undefeated this year because they play BYU, AF, NAVY and teams like that...
Help recruiting
Joining the ACC does NOTHING for their recruiting |

#41 Posted: 11/4/2012 12:26:12 AM The only way Notre Dame gets into the Natty title game is if one of the other 3 lose in their conference championship games, assuming they all get there. That might be the lone benefit Notre Dame has in not being in a conference. Not sure of the extent of Klein's injury as of this post but if he is healthy, I can't see them losing. Bama played a C- game tonight and still won in Death Valley; last 3 games at home plus SEC title game=no losses. Oregon's toughest game left could be rematch vs USC in Pac 12 championship. Even if the Irish roll through SoCal and beat the Trojans, I don't see how their resume is better than either of those 3 teams. They had a GREAT game @ Oklahoma but barely squeaking out wins vs. Purdue, BYU, Stanford and Pitt ALL AT HOME looks bad. I think the human pollsters will actually punish them for that in the end. Sorry Irish fans but have fun at the Fiesta Bowl!! |

You are so right ND doesn't have open invitations to join the Big 10 or Big East. Also yes the ACC helps ND exposure and recruiting ND will play in Cali and Florida every year. I would insult your intelligence but your own words do that for you.
