Love the Pitt play- Any special reason why you are on ULL? I am an alumni of that school and live in Lafayette. I have a great pulse on that team and ULM is very very good this year. ULL is banged up and ULM is lights out at their home stadium. It is a total mismatch in my opinion. Just wondering what I might be missing?
Good luck this week! Can't wait for NCAA basketball to start!

blowoutgm - You know far more about these teams than do I, but my sense is ULL gets up for this game more than any all season. In reality, is the talent disparity really significant? ULL was a preseason favorite in the conference and has put up consecutive national TV clunkers. Having an extra 4/5 days off might help, too. Just a lean, need to look further.
Lb of Flesh - It's a bit surprising given the ND love in the media, but I'm not too concerned. My sense is the books decided to take a stand this week. Still, this number isn't quite as ridiculous as the BYU spread a few weeks ago.

Akron +20 (1 unit) Standard spot play. Kent State wins outright (easily, no less) as a double-digit underdog and now comes home to lay 20 points in a rivalry game. Akron's players have made no bones about this being their biggest game of the season. Zips are miles ahead of last year's team.
Texas Tech PK/Michigan State +9 -120 (1 unit) Bad matchup for Texas going into a second straight roady and against a team that can throw it on anyone, particularly in Lubbock. Red Raiders' defense is a whole lot better than it appeared last week against a KSU squad that refuses to make mistakes. As for Sparty, last week was certainly a big win and I'm not crazy about the spot, but they do have revenge from last year and are typically very, very good against mobile quarterbacks. Nebraska is coming off of a big revenge win over Michigan and probably should not be favored here. I doubt the Huskers ever get the running game going.

BOL this weekend. Like this one too. Really like Pitt also. Living close to both Akron/Kent campus's, this is a game Akron will be ready for. Its bragging rights all year long, minus which campus throws the biggest party.

Off topic, but hows the St Joes hoops team lookin?
Should be a really good year but being picked to finish first in the league by the coaches created even more pressure and expectations. The fan base is starving for a return to the glory days and this is easily the most talented team in recent memory (behind the '03-'04 team, of course).
My guess is 21-22 wins, probably 11-5 in conference. We'll find out a lot on November 16th against Notre Dame at the Barclays Center. Basically a default home game for us, as well as the next night against either BYU or Florida State. I'm not expecting wins at Drexel and at Creighton.

Hey Jfen, like the Army pick. Army has played pretty well in spots, against some tough teams. AF is struggling a little this year, truely believe Army can keep this close, if not pull out a W.
