Someone recently posted that home teams GETTING +2.5-7.5 points went 8-3 this week ATS.
I decided to dig a little deeper and found that teams this entire year that were home dogs getting 2.5-7.5 went 29-31-3 ATS prior to week 9 (52%), and 37-31-3 including week 9. Week 9 seemed like a fluke to me, and I thought "This is probably not a money making trend" especially when some weeks saw these dogs going 3-7 and so on.
So I thought... what about teams getting MORE than a field goal?
Year to date teams getting 4-7.5 points are 24/34 ATS (70.5%), even prior to this week they were STILL 19/27 ATS (70.3%).
Considering hopping on the teams that fall under this category this week!
If wanted, I can post my research including spreads and results for home dogs getting between 2.5-7.5 this year..

This week would be:
Purdue +4 against Penn State Army +7.5 against Air Force Maryland +7 against Georgia Tech USC +7.5 against Oregon South Alabama +4 against FIU North Texas +4.5 against Arkansas St.
This weeks games look iffy.. I don't know that there's even ONE I'd want to take.. Purdue I suppose.. Marylands starting a LINEBACKER at quarterback after their 4th starting QB was knocked out for the season.. Air force looked amazing against nevada.

I'm using the lines that covers has posted for the games that were played that day. I choose consensus, then change the date to the day the games were played. Those are the lines I'm using.
Still think this is a very very interesting trend.. Definitely going to check the last couple years and see what it would have gone.

funny cuz despite the stats to back these lines up, I'd say South Bama MAYBE Purdue are the only one's I like at a glance here.
Definitely a trend to keep watching tho, great post!

maryland is a no big no play. theyre +8 now but for good reason. they have 3 qbs injured/out. they are starting a running back with some highschool qb experience. could get real ugly!
