Do what you want with this, but the guy in front of me @ pounded these 2 teams for 10K each.

FLORIDA -6.5

KSTATE -7

People in LV wager a lot more than that on teams on a weekly basis

Not my biz, but let's be honest, how much do you think on average does a capper on this site bet? Let alone, how much do you play a game? I don't care what you say but 20K is a lot of money to throw on these 2 games.

I like it!.....sounds like something to think about!......if I had the balls....I would take Florida...they are  playing hot offense ....Kstate also have a top offense..playing at home......and my final pick Oklahoma  great offense and defense .....ND cannot keep up.....they have no offense...these are BIG games to play!

20K is nothing.

Sure if you work slave labor and earn $2 an hour after taxes, gas, rent, work related expenses, home expenses and are a regular nobody then 20K is a lot.

But people is Vegas surely have a lot of money. The cost of food doesn't go up with a man's wealth. Even the cost of living doesn't grow linearly. You don't have to be a "good gambler" to bet that kind of money. You just have to have it.

Then there is the degen factor. Maybe that 20K is the guy's last disposable cash. I have a player who work a regular above-average job and he lays a few thousands every week on football. Even I do it. I do it even more intensely and if I had the disposable cash I probably would put it on a game.

There is no worst feeling in the world for a gambler than being dead right about Oregon or Clemson and not having any action on it.

Floyd Money mayweather wipes his ass with that!!! The amount spent isnt that important as what he is rolling with...

IE floyd $$$ makes that bet....may be because its the house max!!!

If Joe Hobo..makes that bet for his last dime...its a little different!!

Fellas Fellas Fellas Copag07 is just trying to help the forums with insightful information. What may seem like a large wager to someone may seem small to the next person. 10,000 is a solid wager to me though, and I can't see too many people just throwing that money away.  I already had FL and I think i'll leave KST alone...

Well from another person who lives in Vegas....10k on a game is still a large amount to lay.  Now if this man has some inside information, then I would say he did good.  The one thing that is not noted on the thread is did he make a Money Line bet, or just take the sides and lay the points.  I know a lot of people that will bet 330 to make 300, and so on.  Depending on the book as well, there are limits to what you can bet, and if memory serves me correctly, at the Orleans will allow you to go higher than that.

Thanks for the info.  But it does seem pretty normal in Vegas, might be a ton to some of us here, but it's nothing for them out there.  Last year or the year before that some fella in a suit wagers 30k in chips on Bears -6.5, I forgot what game that was, if anyone remembers.  And I thought that was my fucking savings, but I think Bears ended up not covering.

It's important to note also, after speaking with 4 other "cash window" attendant's @ the sportsbook, I asked the question, what most bettors are taking for the NFL. They all replied PATS -7.

Again do what you want with this info.
