Georgia gets rolled by USCe and Florida pounds those same GameCocks does this equate to Georgia only getting 6 this weekend? I actually really like Florida and expected to lay 14 or so on them. What is your take Boom?

I for one was very disappointed with the Bama/LSU rematch. It's totally unfair to the team who won the first game. Instead we could have had  an epic matchup of the unstoppable OK ST offense vs. the impenetrable LSU defense. We'll never know how that would have played out, but I assure you LSU would have been a double digit favorite by Vegas standards.

Great Thread

Georgia is a Decent squad , but yeah they have NOT beaten anybody ...The SC Loss was horrible

While I think Bama is the Best team in the Country , not sure they should be ranked higher than K St .

Actually would put Florida ahead of them as well..based on SOS

That's the thing though Getty. I'm quite certain I even made the argument for OK St last year based on their resume and Bama already having their shot. And the matchup sure would have been interesting but in your heart of hearts did you believe Oklahoma State was better than Bama? The national championship should feature the two best teams.

The UGA loss to SC, the SC losses to LSU and UF, and LSU's only loss to UF, were all on the road. Does anyone think that any team outside of the SEC would be favored playing in Baton Rouge, Gainesville, or Columbia (e) ?

I'm still amazed that people believe someone besides a SEC team should be ranked #1.....The hate for the SEC from the lower people makes me laugh....

They way i rank teams is by how big the spread would be within each other
Bama -6.5 vs Oregon
Florida- 2.5 vs Oregon
K ST Vs Oregon -3
ND is ranked 5th there 10 point dogs to OU Alabama would beat OU by 7-10 points i mean its all bull garbage

these polls in october are meaningless except for ABC and ESPN and CBS to put numbers next to teams when they show them to indicate a ranking.

you can argue about polls all you want, but the ONLY poll that matters is the final one.  all other polls are completely irrelevant

All polls do is give everyone something to argue about every week.

This guy Boom is like an typical Clemson fan.  They have nothing but negative stuff to say about S. Carolina and their conference(SEC).  If you think Clemson should be higher in the BCS, thsn that is funny.  That is one team that sure as hell hasn't played anyone.  You got Duke leading one side of the ACC, C'Mon man.  He reminds me of Cowherd.  His opinion is the only one thats right.

i'm not sure... K St SHOULD be favored over S Carolina... but alot of SEC love and bias goes into the lines, because the majority of the nation believes there is a significant gap...

imo, the fact that Tx A&M (who hasn't won the Big 12 in i don't know how long) ran neck and neck with LSU in their first season in the SEC, and particularly the fact that their defense mysteriously looked like an "SEC defense" once they lined up against an "SEC offense" should have dispelled this myth for anybody who was looking for a measuring stick...

of course, for most people, it didn't...

Did you even watch the game

LSU's defense won that game creating 5 turnovers and limiting A&M's ground game. Meanwhile the Aggies D playing at home couldn't force any turnovers and allowed the Tigers to average 5 yards per rushing attempt.

SEC defenses excel at creating turnovers and shutting down the run.Texas A&M's D ranks #103 in the nation in turnover margin at -7. Mississippi St. is +17, 'Bama is +14, Florida is +11, and LSU is +9.

The Aggies are very young defensively and will only get better as recruitment will improve as a direct result of them now being in the SEC. But as for now, they are not there yet .

What??? My man you are crazy! Geo and SC would NOT be favored over KState. This here is crazy talk. KState is a very very solid team. Geo is a blow fish and SC doesn't have to offense to hang in for 4 qtrs with KState

I find it hilarious that people are saying Boom hates the SEC when all he has done is point out facts. heck he even said Florida should be #1 considering what they have done so far.
