Hello fellow cappers! Happy Thurs...got a good one in store tonight.
1-0 YTD +3.09 units
Oregon -8 2 units
(also have Oregon in a couple teaser's with NFL game...but am segregating my YTD to include ONLY college football plays)
I hinted towards taking Oregon yesterday in my introductory post if you will, but I really like the Ducks here. My alma mater is a fellow Pac-12 school so I'm pretty familiar with each team and have been following them closely this season. What really stands out to me is how well Oregon's D has played this season...we all know they're going to score points in droves against anyone in the Pac-12, they've proven that each year in the Chip Kelly era. In the past it was just Oregon out-scoring everyone, and it was fine and dandy...this year with their D, they've been able to dominate games.
I like the efficiency of the ASU offense this year, but their play calling is very vanilla. They smoked an undermanned CU squad last week, but lots of their chunks of yards were eaten by simple screen passes and draw plays. CU was able to create pressure on Kelly if he had to look downfield to throw, and CU remember was only down 3 at HT to ASU.
Ultimately I see the game going back and forth, lots of points early while the ASU crowd is alive...but later in the game I see Oregon pulling away and winning rather easily. Barner, Thomas, and that offense will have a big game.
Oregon 44- ASU 30
BOL everyone, regardless of which side you're on. And no, despite my score prediction, probably not taking the over.
