Rumor around Baton Rouge is that Alex Hurst has quit the team. Hurst is the starting left tackle and with LSU o-line already beat to hell with injuries.  Be Careful, it is just a "rumor" but he wasn't at practice today and the word on the street is he is gone.  This is not a for sure thing would like to just give everyone a heads up in case it's true. I'll post a link as soon as I get one.

thanks  bigrich72...i love your avatar there...even if he plays it won;t make much difference ...LSU is in trouble  this weekend....maybe they pull out the magic wand and get it rolling but all the texas  rangers fans were thinking that they could just turn on the power button and there bats would come alive to ...we all see how that worked out ....

just spreading what i heard cajun_one and what the article says and i hope your right about LSU but I'm just relaying a message that I heard to the people on covers because i know i would want to know about a team having issues at left tackle before i place a wager on them... and the Rant doesn't seem too optimistic at this point but when is their optimism in there haha

Yeah SEC rant is much better... well hopefully its nothing major and Hurst will play. I'd hate to see a senior quit his final year, and pray that no major tragedy has happened involving his personal life.

I love underdogs by nature always, but LSU on ESPN prime time on Saturday night!  Huge huge underestimated value people don't get it because they never lived it period good luck to all.

LSU may have 4 backups starting on the OL this week.

Dowarcyk: LT (backup)
Collins: LG (starter)
Porter: C (backup)
Turner: RG (backup)
Alexander: RT (backup.. true freshman)

Faulk was the original LT and was lost for the season very early. The starting center is currently nicked up this week and may or may not play. The starting RG was blindsided on an INT return and may miss the game due to a concussion. The original starting RT was Hurst and he has been MIA this week.

I think Les Miles goofy bullshit ways are getting old and we are on a downturn.  Les is blessed with raw talent in a football Mecca and their talent bales him out time and time again.  Year after year we have talent that is the result of Saban revitalizing LSU football.  He made us relevant again and drew the recruits in and Les and company are clueless on how to use them.  God bless Chavis hope he has the patience to stay because if he would bale we would hurt bad.

I am a firm believer in defense wins championships offense sells tickets.  Give me Oregon on offense and LSU or Alabama on defense and that is the definition of an elite football team.  West Virginia is a poser their time will come I think they struggle Saturday.  You give Saban or Chavis a few weeks to study you for a championship game and you become null and void.  Look at San Francisco 49's love them stingy as garbage average offense, but guess what the other teams offense has been whited out so who gives a garbage.  I love football played college soccer and kicked for the football team in high school.  I love the game and respect the game and always want to learn more.  I know a little and at the same time don't know garbage I just like the challenge and competition of it all.

cajun, what re your thoughts on the game.. LSU needs this.. CBS needs this... CBS has 1 primetime game and they picked LSU/Bama... if LSU is to lose one more game it would make the bama game worthless right?? Also, it takes something beyond great to win in the pit at night... last team to do it was special { flordia tebow} .. do u think this south carol team is up to the task honestly? i dont
