I think LSU shows up when it counts and has the potential and proven history to hurt Florida bettors feelings.  I am sitting this one out, but would think Florida wins although if LSU won it would not surprise me.  They have a bad habit of playing down to a week opponent.

Is UF suppose to be the weak opponent?

Towson was the weak opponent. That's the game people are thinking of when considering this game. To me it was just a game LSU wasn't even paying attention to as they get ready for the Gators. The Tigers have looked pretty mediocre though, but this should be a close game down to the wire regardless.

I lean Florida because a) I have a futures bet on them to win the SEC East b) they're at home, and c) they're getting points.

Honestly I think you have to be one hell of an action junkie to bet this game.

LSU hasnt really cared about a game this year except Washington (won 41-3). The rest of their games have been a "waste" of their time. It almost burnt them vs Auburn, but that woulda/coulda/shoulda been a 30-3 victory. Floridas week off hurts their momentum......

Amazingly enough, coaching edge goes to LSU as well as big game experience (yes, Tenn was a big game).

Line would have been -6.5 2 weeks ago.

Gillislie is the best kept secret in college football and Burton might be the best athlete on the field for either team. UF has a considerable size advantage with their offensive line averaging 314 lbs. to the LSU defensive line which has no starter over 290 lbs. Nobody has been able to move this Gator OL off the line of scrimmage, and even the quick Tigers will struggle to prevent UF from making positive yardage on just about every carry. On the other side of the ball, nothing LSU is able to do on offense particularly worries me. What does worry me is UF's ability to get past the mental block that they're not supposed to win this game.

Florida can lose this game if they can beat Georgia and SC and still win the East.

I would lean under, and if the line got to 3.5 I'd take Florida.

The problem for Florida backers I can see this being the hip dog of the week and LSU has looked awful it's last two games.  The value and spot clearly favors LSU.  Best play on this game is a no play.  Much better games out there.

UF has been more impressive this year.  Good road wins @ TAMU & UT, solid defense, improved QB play.  LSU hasn't looked good the last 2 weeks but I fully expect them to step on the gas this week and be ready to play.  That being said, I dont trust Mettenberger and think UF wins a close one.

As much as I hate to say it.  I think UF wins this game and it may not even be that close.

seminole8 comments are the reason I would not go anywhere near Florida.  Everyone in this thread likes them, talk about a huge red flag for a dog.

this line doesnt smell like fish .... its just the reflect of LSU struggling vs auburn and allowing towson to score more than 2tds .... and gators supposedly looking in their groove.. so .... if LSU would have trashed auburn and ziped towson this could have been easily a DD  spread ... but since LSU have looked so lackadaisical  its not and obviousy all money is coming in for the gators ..... and between mushroom and Les ill better take les a the way to hell

Could be 38-17 either way. Could be 11-6 either way. NO PLAY for me. Same for UGA vs USC. Lots of other games to bet on. Jmo

I think Mettenberger will be under a hell of a lot of pressure all day, it Auburn could do what they did defensively then there is no way in hell UF can't..

I don't think they have looked as anemic as they have and are confident in any way..

It's funny how some of u throw Auburn out there like they not 2yrs removed from being undefeated and a National Championship to boot! This is the SEC dammit!! Look how Tenn. just hung 44 on that ranked #5GA squad... FLA can easily win this game out right!! Stop this LSU by 20pts bullshit!!

Do you think UF is the same team as last year?

Do you think this LSU team has shown they are as good as Bama was last year before they played Florida?

i still do not get why everyone holds LSU in high regard like last season.

Beating washington 41-3 means jack.
Mettenberger looks lost and nothing about LSU laying points sounds like a good idea.
