Well not the greatest weekend but for sure a little better than Week 4. Stuck to my gut and played the teams I originally liked and it was a lot better than the weekend before. Couple things I noticed this week is that every great team has an off week. LSU was just sleep walking through that game. Bama and Oregon also seemed to shut it down a little bit in the 2nd half. Oregon last year would pull away n the 2nd half, now they seem like once they get ahead they just play soft and let the other team cover. Going to have to watch out for that rest of the season. Don't think Chip Kelly will let them keep that up. Texas looked pretty good. Still think their defense has some things they need to work on but Ash is a lot better and I like that run game. Also like all the speed they have on offense and special teams.

Looking ahead to Week 6 below are a few leans I like. Weil have some write ups later. I started the season by picking 1 or 2 big plays a weekend. I think it was pretty successful so I might look to do go back to that when I really like a game rather than just flat betting. Couple teams this week might be good for that.

CINCY -21
GEORGIA +2.5
TEXAS -6.5
KANSAS ST -24.5
OKLAHOMA -4
NOTRE DAME -13
BUCKEYES -5
LSU -3
ARKANSAS +10

Definitely wont play all of these but these are just the games I like at first glance. Will take a deeper look into them later tonight or tomorrow. Also like the Giants tonight on SNF. Tough first couple weeks but like we always say its's a long season. Hope to get it rolling this week. I let some idiot get the best of me last night and totally forgot what was important here. Lets get back to talking football and ignore all the nonsense and fools on this site.

Is Oklahoma really -4 against Texas Tech? I'm seeing -8 from Vegas Insider

Your right it is at -4. I know Oklahoma has looked bad recently and Txtech is 4-0 ATS but I think the Red Raiders are in for a rude awakening. Liking the Sooners -4 on the road during a day game.

Lifelong ND fan, I can't take ND -13 vs Miami, speed kills and yeah ND run defense is pretty good but they are about due for a letdown, might win, but not 13 imho.

LAROJA - Me too. Might have to lock them in before it goes up

SLICER - I'm from Chicago lot of ND fans here. Think you might be right but this defense is tough. Really like what the Irish have going for them this year. I though Michigan's speed would hurt ND and it didn't.  Last good team Miami played was Kansas St and they got rocked. Think NDs defense is the key in this game also Golston at QB adds a new dimension to this team

Like K-St, Arky, and OK.  But against you on most of the others.  Miami is probably my favorite play.  Huge OL with speed & skill all over the field, and their passing game is really clicking right now.  And their Fr. RB Duke Johnson is a good one.  I think they can score enough to cover the number.

Horns will get WVU off the field every now and again. Not sure the inverse will be true. Other side of OSU game, but not that enthusiastically.

OU opened at -8, but dropped quickly to -4.5.

RAMBO - That is definitely wrong Bulldogs are the favorites

2MUCH - Still on the fence about ND. I already locked in OU and LSU. I think those lines will go up. Any take on the Clemson GT game?

MAINE - Skeptical a bit on the Horns still. I hope Ash is the answer and hope Gray can be a big producer. If the D can play up to there potential think we will be good. Being from Chicago I've only been able to watch two games Ole Miss and Okie St but they looked decent yesterday. Smith won't have all day to pick apart the Horns defense like he did with Baylor. You like Nebraska?

FAT - Don't you think OU should roll here?

I like SC defense a lot.  Think they could hold down the Bulldogs.

I wish I could've gotten Tech at +8 and I hope it gets back up to a TD.  Oklahoma hasn't won in Lubbock since 2003, and OU has been really unimpressive.  It's not like Tech REALLY has the #1 defense in the country, but they are better and faster on both sides of the ball, not to mention healthier, than they were in 2011.  I'm not a great capper, but I follow the Big 12 closely and I don't see any value in the OU side.

Hook-Time for a reality check in Lubbock. If OU doesn't have revenge in mind for the behind whooping they took last, they may as well quit. Tech looks better, I was impressed that they won in Ames, IA, but they haven't really played anyone, IMO. Scary game because I believe the best qb will be wearing red and black. Landry Jones is just barely adequate. OU has twice the talent and half the desire.
Any thoughts on Miss St+14.5@Kentucky? Is that for real?

RR - SC defense is good but what about their offense? Think Georgia has the better offense here.

KCHINGON - What do you think about Texas and Kansas St?

I had it at -3.5, so I thought there was some value at 5. Can't say I feel like I have much of a feel for either team. Why do you like the Bucks by a TD?

I think WVU is like Tech during the Leach era- all offense and no D.  I will bet the ML on Texas, for sure, I just don't feel comfortable with it at a full TD.  I would have felt better if the Texas D had shut down OSU last night.

KSU should win by 40.  I left it out of my leans because I'm definitely betting it, I just want to see if it drops a point or two.

HookEm - after the debacle's I've watched at Grant Field the last 2 weeks I have no reason to like GT, except for the fact that we always play well vs Clemson.  This is our 2nd biggest rival behind UGA and our guys always get up for this game.  We've won 5 of the last 6 and 7 of the last 9 vs CU.  Neither defense has been impressive this year and I expect a high scoring game.  I'll take the points.

MAINE - Like Bucks because of Miller and Meyer. Way better coach than Pelini and IMO Wiscy should have won that game and they gave up. Taylor Martinez is fuckin horrible. Buckeyes D will not give them those bullshit plays.

K - Me too but you gotta remember that offense OSU has is tough to defend no matter what. Still gonna roll with Texas and Kansas St. I wasn't a believer of Kansas St last year and it burned me a few times. Not making that mistake this year. Klein and the coach are top notch.

2MUCH - Maybe the over? Can't believe GT lost to MTU this weekend. Lean is on Clemson

CYRAX - Battle of the shitty SEC teams. Maybe the under is the play here lol
