Just grabbing my numbers as they become available. The UNT-Houston line is just stupid. I'll touch on UCONN at some point tomorrow.

#10 Posted: 9/30/2012 11:49:35 PM Love Iowa State and North Texas. I think both have a great shot to win outright.

Been looking forward to this game since August. USC is still grossly overrated because of its flashy skill players and I'm not sure a few extra days off will fix the problems that manifested themselves against Stanford. There's a striking lack of toughness in the trenches, an issue Utah can exploit. Not to mention, this will be one of the best environments we see all season and SC is traveling into altitude.
I would've played this at +7.

Faded them last week against a UB team coming off of its worst possible game in a national TV appearance against Kent State. 18 points was a joke, especially with the plodding UCONN offense and this Rutgers game on-deck.
Speaking of Rutgers, they've now been ranked for two weeks and by gametime will have had 14 days to hear how great their garbage smells. I'm a little concerned about revenge from last year's UCONN beatdown, but there's a few matchup issues that still apply this season. Schiano talked frequently about recruiting to defend the pass-happy spread offense of today's college football. Hence, his defenses were fast and undersized. UCONN is a power team with a bruising running game, a rarity nowadays. No surprise if the Huskies spring an upset.

Think you're safe with Sparty, Wisconsin, and SDSU. Probably fine with Nevada and Ohio. Gut says NC State rises up and finally plays a great game. Some concern with Oregon State in a letdown after consecutive conference road wins.

Thanks. I was wondering why the oregon state line is so low and same applies to florida state. Might go with 3 home teams. Appreciate your input.

Sunseri (Pitt) is averaging 9.6 yds/att, completing 67.2% of his passes, and has a 8:2 TD to INT ratio Nassib ('Cuse) is averaging 7.7 yds/att, completing 66.1% of his passes, and has a 10:5 TD to INT ratio
So I assume that you believe Nassib is equally as dreadful for Syracuse?

#23 Posted: 10/1/2012 5:04:56 PM riccio i understand the point you are trying to make but sometimes statistics never show the true story. most of sunseri's stats came against garderner webb, youngstown state (a game they still lost), and complete garbage time against cincy.
sometimes qb stats can mess with your mind. a good example of this is ryan fitzpatrick of the bills. hes a top 5 fantasy qb in the nfl so far this year but there are easily 25 better starting qbs in the league.
when it comes to qb's the variables are huge. decision making ie. taking sacks and killing drives instead of throwing the ball away or looking down the reciever youre throwing to, etc
ive seen sunseri make horrible head scratching decisions, and ive also seen him hit some great passes and get yards at times when the game is long over.
