#1 Posted: 9/18/2012 7:39:26 AM The Undisputed (to ESPN and SEC fans) "best" conference has losses to Louisiana Monroe, Western Kentucky, Clemson, Louisville, Northwestern, Texas, but ESecPN says that the SEC is still the "best" seriouslyl....what if the SEC had to play real nonconference games??? The thing is SUBJECTIVE.....These losses will not prevent a rematch of last years N.C. game
Prediction rematch: LSU vs Alabama National chamionship game 2013
Because it is not decided on the field the "subjectivity" that ESPN shows will lead to another barn-burner SEC National championship....they will play each Nov. 3rd Bama will win and LSU will regain its #2 position by the end of the year...because FSU wont go undefeated and OU will lose 1 or 2, that means the "BEST" conference gets to stay the "best"
The SECs 3rd best team lost to ULM....Ive never laughed so hard...and Kentucky lost to Western Kentucky....BUT YOUR THE BEST TOP TO BOTTOM SEC...DONT WORRY ESPN HAS YOUR BACK!!!!
I would have no problem if some of the disputes about the "best" were actually settled in non conference games, but playing D2 teams and 1 decent mid-major isnt my idea of challenging yourself SEC!!! Toughest non confernce games were lost, Alabama beat Michigan (Michigan is one dimensional)
Like ive said before each conference has 2 power top teams...and the rest are there to lose......SEC Alabama-LSU.....PAC 12 USC-OREGON.....BIG TEN OHIO ST. WISC...BIG 12 OU- TEXAS ACC: FSU- Miami....substitute clemson acc this year, and ?? for banned ohio st. nebraska??
THE TOP TO BOTTOM ARGUEMENT IS ONLY CONVIENIENT WHEN THE SEC WINS ITS NON-CONFERENCE...DONT EXPECT ESPN TO CHANGE ITS TUNE ON THIS ONE GUYS...$EC IS E$PNs CASH COW!!!
Please dont argue with me ALABAMA FANS..I KNOW YOUR TEAM IS GOOD!! AND LSU IS GOOD!!! |

#5 Posted: 9/18/2012 7:59:12 AM K..WAREAGLE ...LETS MATCH EM UP THEN!!!!!!!!!!SEC VS BIG 12
ALABAMA VS OU-ALABAMA
LSU VS WEST VIRGINIA-WV
UGA VS TCU-TCU
ARKANSAS VS TEXAS- TEXAS
FLORIDA VS KSTATE- KSTATE
TENNESSEE VS OKIE ST. OKIE ST
Auburn vs. Texas Tech- Texas Tech
Kentucky vs Baylor- Baylor
Dont look at it like that with any kind of comparison or reasoning!!! just say the SEC is the best!!!! they were last year and 5 years before when not 2 boring SEC teams played in the N.C. game!!!
IM NOT "HATING" I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH SUBJECTIVITY IS INVOLVED IN DECIDING WHO GETS TO PLAY IN THE N.C. game......I guess if your not in the SEC you damn well better go undefeated!!!

#13 Posted: 9/18/2012 8:17:26 AM IM saying that i DO NOT LIKE THE WAY THAT ESPN PRONOUNCES THE WINNER OF NON CONFERNCE PLAY AS THE SEC WITHOUT EVEN PAYING ATTENTION TO ANY RESULTS!!! THE SEC HAS HAD KEY LOSSES AND THEY ARE STILL BEATING THE SEC DRUM HARDER THAN EVER!!!! AND IT MAKES A DIFFERNCE BECAUSE THE MORE YOU HEAR SOMETHING THE MORE TRUE IT IS...I TOLD YOU I DONT WANT THEM TO SAY ANY CONFERENCE IS THE BEST!!!! HOW IS IT THEIR PLACE TO DETERMINE THE TOP 2!!!! YET THEY HAVE DICTATED IT HEAVILY...ESPN IS OWNED BY DISNEY FOR GODS SAKE!! |

#15 Posted: 9/18/2012 8:19:48 AM I think they should look at teams individually, if they want non conferece play to get better, they need to prove it by penalizing these D2 games heavier!!!
Answer to your original question: its debateable..they dont ever play (same year) so how can you know??? |

#23 Posted: 9/18/2012 8:55:21 AM Everyone knows the SEC is all hype and will always be favored by officiating and ESPN as well as the polls it all comes down to the fact that ESPN has the biggest TV deal in the billions with the SEC so that means...
SEC WINS = ESPN MONEY SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS = TONS OF MONEY FOR ESPN

#24 Posted: 9/18/2012 8:58:21 AM In reference to my post above how the hell do you think overrated schools like Georgia,South Carolina and Arkansas as well as Florida get freaking high rankings? The more teams they have in the top 25 for the SEC the gigantic likelyhood of an SEC team entering the championship which brings in tons and tons of money for ESPN because of their gigantic TV deal with the conference.
