I like the Bruins at home..I watched a good part of the Nebr-USM game and UCLA will score a lot of points on the so called black shirts..I LOVE UCLA..good frosh qb,talent everywhere and AT HOME..This is a new beginning for UcLa,,1st bet I ever made was UcLa-7 at home vs Nebraska and they won 41-24..someting like that..Nebraska isnt very good IMO..Pelini is AVG..

Nebraska is very deep at the RB position; Sophomore Ameer Abdullah &amp; Freshmen Imani Cross are both solid.  I wouldn&#x27;t overlook Martinez&#x27;s 26-34, 354yards, and 5 TD game.  Taylor has capable wide receivers and a much improved throwing motion.  UCLA won&#x27;t be able to stack 9 defenders in the box which will leave some nice running lanes open for Taylor.   I was not impressed with UCLA in their victory over Rice.  UCLA came out very dominate; relying on big plays &amp; taking advantage of turnovers in a 19-0 start.  Then Rice started to move the ball starting from their own 25, 31, and from mid field which lead to 17 unmatched points.  With 41 seconds left until half time (score 29-24, UCLA) Rice fumbles the ball which leads to a UCLA score, and ultimately changed the entire game.   IMO, Freshmen Brett Hundley will struggle against Nebraska&#x27;s defense.  Hundley will throw a few crucial picks; and Nebraska will roll &amp; will cover the spread.  21 point victory over UCLA is what I predict.AP

UCLA is not that good either. Yet Nebraska doesn't justify a -7.5 line on the road.

PAC12 is playing out of conference this week and all of them are underdogs exc Stanford (plays Duke) and ASU (Illinois--and I think the Illini can win this game). Oregon should bury Fresno in a high scoring game. Oddly enough I think Wash can cover the 23.5 at LSU and probably get to 20+ points, but no way pull off any upset--unless they shoot themselves in the foot. Arizona should cover their line, but that's about it.

Maybe the PAC12 gets 2 wins on the day, and 3 would be respectable. After USC and Oregon, there's a huge drop off.

People wrongly say that about the SEC-- I think they are top to bottom better than anyone else.

No brainer in my opinion, Huskers big here in this spot. I doubt the Huskers will play Burkhead but if you know Husker football they have 3 running backs; Abdullah, Heard and Cross right behind him that can roll UCLA. On top of that you factor in what appears to be a much improved Martinez and are much deeper at WR than in years past. Defensively they did struggle but Bo Pelini will have a lot of the issues patched up by game day.

If UCLA is playing the jersey and its history, they will get destroyed. If they aggressively attack a porous defense and play sound defense themselves, they have a chance to win.

Everyone is overreacting on UCLA&#x27;s win over Rice. I&#x27;m from Houston and Rice has been getting progressively worse every year. Just because they tear Rice up means absolutely nothing, if I do get in on this I&#x27;m taking Nebraska with points.

UCLA didn&#x27;t tear up Rice.  UCLA has a lucky fumble returned for a TD to end the first half which changed the momentum of the game.  Two TD&#x27;s in the 4th to make it look like a blow out - it was far from (in my opinion).

Very well said.  Was beginning to feel like I was the only one who watched that game.  Had a little on UCLA, didn&#x27;t feel very good about it until the 4th really.

I somewhat disagree.  UCLA was one of my big plays last week so I watched that game pretty close, and while Rice did move the ball at spots better than I expected, UCLA really dominated from start to finish.  They&#x27;re was a muffed punt that got Rice some momentum, helped by a drive with two attrocious calls against UCLA, one being the worst pass interference call I ever saw in my life  where a UCLA defender was making play on ball in endzone, rice player trips him from behind and they called interference on UCLA.  That&#x27;s the only reason Rice cut it to two after being down 19-0.  Not to mention there was another TD at end of game that was called back after idiot freshman got personal foul 20 yds behind the play as UCLA was scoring again.  One thing I do agree with is that Hundley will struggle throwing the ball, and him and Franklin won&#x27;t be able to break off 70&#x2B; yard runs like they did against Rice.  They will struggle to move the ball against Nebraska and I was really impressed with Taylor Martinez, think he has a big game.  Will be on the Nebraska ML for this one
