Whats up fellas. Looking forward to another great year of college football. Going to ease into 2012 and see if I can get off to a good start. Last year was a struggle right out of the gate and I don't think I got back to .500 until mid way through the season. Money management as always is the key to a profitable season. All my plays are for 1 unit and occasionally I'll have a Large play that I put down 3-5 units on. I'm 8-3 Lifetime on those plays so they don't come very often. I always try to have a write up on everyone of my plays but in the case that I don't rest assured I have put forth the same amount of research and I play every one of the games I post. With that said....LETS ROCK!
Week 1:
MICHIGAN ST. -6 1/2
Trend players won't like this play as Boise has covered 5 of their last 6 as non conference road dogs but I really like this Michigan State Defense against the youngsters here as Boise only returns 7 or 8 starters from last years team that dropped 6 in a row to the number to end the regular season. Kellen Moore would have difficulty against the Greens defense who only lost 3 starters from last season. If this game was on the blue rug I may look Boise's way but on the road against this kind of defense puts me on Big Green to open the 2012 season.
OHIO ST -24 (hook)
Normally I wouldn't look to back Ohio State as a DD favorite but the Urban Meyer era begins with a blowout imo. I think he's out to prove something this year and will put the hammer down every chance he gets as he can't make the post season. Ohio St has always been a play on team for home openers as they have covered 15 of their last 18 chances. As I said I was a little concerned about laying the big lumber until I saw that State has covered 9 of the last 10 ats as 21 point or more favorites so come on Urban....run it up for your loyal ats backers.
NEBRASKA -20
Big Red knows a thing or two about blowing out opponents on opening day. Big Nebby is 13-5 ats in their last 18 season openers with the average win coming by more than 30 ppg. USM's young QB will be making his first road start in Big 10/12 country in one of the most hostile environments in cfb. The Blackshirts should eat him up while Martinez has a field day against a young SM defense that returns only 4 starters.

i agree with that assessment of urban meyer and ohio state. i think he will continue to pound everyone into oblivion every chance he gets just like he did at florida.
