#1 Posted: 8/28/2012 4:57:00 PM It really doesn't get too much more square than this, but I am interested to hear some of the suggestions for the third leg........
1) Cal (-.5)
2) Iowa (pk)
3) Fill in the Blank
Pretty fond of the first two legs of this baby, but fire away on the 3rd.....

#2 Posted: 8/28/2012 5:14:13 PM well I wouldnt even put Cal in there to be real but yea they should win. Iowa should win, especially with such a drastic line movement. But I would say Georgia -28. Buffalo is horrid and they wont have their best tackler/LB Khalil Mack week 1 due to suspension. Aaron Murray and co think they have a legit chance on getting into the championship but with their weak schedule they will need to make an impression week 1 and its a perfect time to do so against a cupcake at home to open the season. I have them -37.5 but I think they can win 56-3. GA scores on every possession when their starters are in in this contest GL |

You can get the Houston Texans pk @ home vs Miami or Detoit @ home vs STL..I doubt either of those teams gets upset......Now the beautiful part is, if the 1st 2 teams come through, you can get the Dolphins or Rams +10 or better a week later for a sweet shot at a middle.....

#9 Posted: 8/28/2012 7:39:00 PM FWIW, if you're teasing 10-12 point favorites down to pk-2, you get -101 odds by paralying the moneylines instead. At least with the 5dimes lines. Not sure what you're getting with yours, but just thought I'd throw it out there. |

Naw...Iowa stays where it lays. Senior QB, Big 10 offensive line vs MAC DF7, that is the kind of wager I like. That being said, Iowa by 7 burns a lot of fools. No way I am laying any points there.

Just my 2c Train.....I hadn't really considered mixing in the NFL games, but that is an interesting angle.
With you lock step on the middle....The baylor game on sunday is attractive for that reason, as well as teasing V-tech down, and then taking the points with G-tech, or maybe lock in some profit depending on what the money line is on G-tech.
NFL may be the way to go, have to take a look at that.

Agree, that Baylor pick is a pretty good one as the 3rd....I have been scrutinizing that one for awhile, just not a fan of the defense. Good point on the ML parlays........absolutely will parlay them together before giving up any dead points (1, 1.5, 2). Not interested in losing via 1 push, or getting snagged by the hook.
Keep 'em coming fellas.

#14 Posted: 8/28/2012 8:23:41 PM Another fun possibility for leg #3, although it's a very different sort of play: Oregon/ASU over 58.5 |

#15 Posted: 8/28/2012 8:31:34 PM Oregon may pitch a shutout in that one.......but they are poised to hang 49 bare minimum.
Arizona is a possibility. Big question there is if RichRod has a ball handler at QB, or if he has a passer that is going to try to run the option. His early teams at michigan turned the ball over at will.....have to look at the stable of QBs and see if there is any one whom can step up.

#16 Posted: 8/28/2012 8:39:14 PM Don't forget Aplin returns and that Malzahn is at Arkansas State now. I envision that one a lot like Oregon's 69-20 win over Nevada last year. The over is one of my favorite plays of week one. But they do tend to put up 50+ on whatever mid-majors they play, so the teased version is golden if Arkansas State can find the end zone once. |

#19 Posted: 8/28/2012 9:13:09 PM I like Iowa State SU, but with Tulsa's offense, that's not one I'd tease on a bet. OSU and Louisville are good thoughts. |

RR walked into the perfect situation at QB with Matt Scott. Kid is a natural and ran that run first read option in HS at Corona Centennial in So Cal. He is the least of your worries....the Arizona D is going to be a problem but they teasing them down to a pick em or half point should be fine.
I would go with UGA or Ohio St at 12.5 though. Might want to stay away from Arizona until after the Okie St game.

#21 Posted: 8/28/2012 9:25:41 PM North Tx +53 @ LSU
The tigers have only scored > 53 pts twice under Les Miles (56-3 vs N. Tx in 2005 and 58-10 over LaTech in 2007)
LSU usually sleepwalks through these types of games, and miles likes to shut down the offense in blowouts.
LSU's campus is closed today and tomorrow due to a hurricane, that also should have an effect on this game |

#22 Posted: 8/28/2012 9:27:55 PM Some of the big lines that stand out to me are....
Georgia -28
Oregon -25.5
Maybe W. Virginia -14.5
Totals
Georgia/Buffalo Over 43.5
S.C/Vandy Under 55
Just a few!!!!! |

Teased 10 points they are as close to a lock as you possibly get |

#24 Posted: 8/28/2012 9:42:02 PM nooo noo no do not tease Baylor down. Their defense is absolutely horrendous. RG3 even had trouble some games closing them out because of their defense. SMu can win outright. Baylor pk you will be for sure. I like what Train said about making Houston pk. I may do a large tease with them bama and someone else as that should be a lock tease |

Good info on the Scott kid...he is getting high marks so far, so we will see. Toledo will score in this one, but I don't see them being able to keep up.
