I would leave.  Why have my name associated with a child molesting school?

yah that's a tough one....

If you're a HC at a top school with national title hopes maybe.....
do you openly poach these players?....or take the high road?

I have no problem with OTHERS doing it......because it's such big business these days...but don't know if I would....

But...if Kiffin didn't do it....and he lost a RB or two....and it cost them the national title....??????

kinda of a good point.....

*only difference with Trojans is that THEY....(being on scholarship restrictions)....cannot go over their limit

other schools are allowed....in the PSU case..to exceed their limit....(then reduce their limit the following year)

To sign Redd they will most likely have to release a player.........a common practice but not something to be proud of for sure...

Silas Redd was not at player press conference today where players announced they are staying and "one man will not tear down the university"

meanwhile, silas redd is on his way to big ten media day in chicago.

that should be a tell.

USC's is limited to 75 scholarship players (versus the normal 85).  My understanding is that they are currently one under their limit (74), which means they have one scholarship to give.  Given that USC is anorexically thin at RB, burning that scolarship on Silas Redd would seem to be a pretty wise move on Kiffin's part.  It should also bring a smile to the faces of USC futures bettors should this indeed come to fruition.

USC makes sense.  Florida St also makes sense, IMO.

HMMM...COMPETE FOR A NATIONAL TITLE...OR PLAY FOR A TEAM THAT MAY BE TORN APART IF YOU LEAVE??? IM SELFISH ID E OUT, COMPETE FOR A HEISMAN, GO TO THE NFL, AND FORGET ABOUT PENN STATE, OR STAY AT PNN STATE, AND MAYB GET INTO THE NFL IN 5TH OR 6TH ROUND...2ND RB AT USC IS BETTER THAN 1ST AT PENN STATE!!

redd and jordan hill were set to go to big 10 media day but that is now not happening.

at limit?....no one knows because Kiffin ain't saying

It is thought to be that (currently) they are at the 75 limit  .....

BUT.....incoming Fr Darreus Rogers may not qualify..
opening up 1 spot....

If he is eligible...they could ask him to come in January...counting toward the 2013 class......

Or....ask one of 3 former walk-ons to give up their scholarship....yikes
*bu C Abe Markowitz
*bu SLB Tony Burnett (a track guy damm)
*3rd MLB Will Andrew

It appears talent wise Redd and Curtis McNeal are fairly close....Redd the stronger (5-10/210) .....while CM is 5-7/185.....speed is about the same...(4.4 ish)

Redd looks like the better all-around back with less negatives.....McNeal was close to being kicked off the team in 2010.....and along with current bu DJ Morgan (fumbleitis)...has been hurt....Morgan also slight at 5-10/185...

I would expect by the time they play the Ducks 11/3...Redd would be the starter...or getting a majority of the carries...most importantly he would solve their main issue....depth

Keeping in mind LY Penn St could not throw AT ALL...
*along with Kentucky....Ole Miss....and Texas...about the worst....144 passing vs Bama...88 vs Ohio St...119 vs Wisky

In the 8 games they played vs winning teams...passing for about 160/g...43%....3 TD/9 INT..5.3 yds/att...............terrible
*but yet Redd still had 1241 yds...5.1/att on the year.....and would likely finish as the leading rusher in school history....(unless left early)

Penn State is a total and utter disaster, its hilarious watching "thisguyiswise" support Pedo U so intensely.

Silas will be at USC next year, PSU's kicker is going to Texas. The dominoes will likely all begin to fall next week.

Silas REdd's in a tough position - seems like the team is sticking to gether for the most part. redd is going to get destroyed by the media if he leaves the team and is the only one.  this kid has a really big decision to make in the coming days

unconfirmed reports from fox sports that he's gone....owes nothing to PSU...in fact they let him down...teammates, well maybe however players leave their teammates all the time to go to pros early and they actually don't care as much as they might lead on....needs to do what's best for him and his family...can't fault the guy...as far as PSU at 110th in points scored last year exactly how much worse can they get 120th (ok maybe 124th now with UTSA and others) and some kid, his name escapes me now, had a good spring...no surprise if PSU does better than 19.3 (110th) in points this year and can't do much worse

yah that Tim Cates and that Petros Papadakis (that's the guy with the unbelievably annoying voice right?)...
jumped the gun it looks like on this one

here's SR's twitter if anybody want's to follow....
@MomentOfSilas25

this is a very interesting story...
I hope he stays personally...though I agree the smart thing would be to haul behind immediately...

Key here?
maybe ask NFL scout's how going/staying might affect his status...and do his teammates get pissed at him simply considering his options....if they DO.....I would imagine that would help push him away....
If not....and he's getting.... "we love you buddy ....and respect your decision either way"....kinda stuff it's gonna be VERY tough to go

BTW.....all you boys that are looking to fade PSU..like vs Ohio....better watch what some of the players are saying.....like here
       *I kinda like(d) Ohio myself

http://blogs.mcall.com/nittany_lines/2012/07/three-intense-minutes-with-mike-mauti.html

KARMA believers.....worried this kinda thing (USC and Silas)......jumps up and bites you squarely on the behind?

he in fact did NOT go to the media day in chicago, but i dont think it means anything,

also, you lost credibility in my mind when you said in another threat the 9 offensive returning starters have said they are staying,

YOU LOST 4 STARTERS ON YOUR O-LINE ALONE TO GRADUATION,

your numbers are wrong, and you are supposed to be the super fan of penn state

you again manage to be a jackass gridiron girl

its 9 projected starters from the summer depth chart.

and silas redd was going, then replaced by mike mauti at the last minute.  penn state did not plan on any players going, then changed their mind.

heres another, 68 players say they are staying, zero say they are leaving as of this minute, from THIS YEARS team, NOT LAST YEARS
