#27 Posted: 7/9/2012 5:43:04 PM Dont have the 1000 post. But I played in college, coach high school in PA , do some guest sports on 610 WIP which is Philly's largest station, write articles every week for a few blogs. If someone drops out I'd be happ to jump in. I think you know your stuff except the Case Keenum thing is a head scratcher to me. I am out on a limb with Tannehill I wrote an article about him 1st week of the season last year saying he was the best QB in the draft. I am a passionate guy who lives the game. |

I may try to revive my CFB pick challenge as well where you pick 8 games per week. |

Appreciate the kind words. To be fair to all I would say get that post count up and I would love for you to play. What College did you play for?
Let's let this Keenum thing play out. Im only 31 years old but I have been evaluating what talent is at the next level for alot of years now and I rarely miss.... Keenum will get his shot Im sure of it. This year? No. But his time will come. Remember I told you this, Keenum is the next Drew Brees.
5 years from now the QB order should have went like this. I know im will get a lot of garbage for this, but I dont care.... I write and speak what I believe. When it comes to sports or sports gambling in general I use a method that only a few use. I use my eyes.... no trends, no statistics. If that makes sense.
1) RG3 2) Keenum 3) Luck
Let me add this, I think Luck is a tremendous player. Never have i thought different. I just believe that those two guys are great.

Was Kevin Steele a good hire for LSU? Lot of ppl blabbing about it being a better get by Steele. Heard he is a hell of a recruiter, but also hoping the bowl game was an anomaly.

#44 Posted: 7/10/2012 10:15:04 PM Hey Boom Boom - I would like to get in on this if you allow. I know I dont post much, but I would look forward to your posts last CFB season every week. I remember you were riding Clemson in the beginning of the year when everyone was doubting them (you won me a lot of money and I thank you for that!)
So, if you allow it I'd love to get in this thing - I remember seeing it last year as well.

#47 Posted: 7/11/2012 6:16:44 AM boom - you're the sheriff, just a thought....quite a few weeks last year we had no opinion on 8 or 9 of the ten designated games so i'm sure some others had the same feeling
possible suggestion, what if everyone just picked any 5 games with posted lines from common source and rated 1-5 points (no negative needed for losses since they already lose by not getting the points...all the negative pts do is double the point swing for all so it cancels) - then use some public capping site (such as one of the books listed on vegasinsider or donbest odds)....also would help recordkeeping if all 5 games were in one post, you would just post your 5 games with the line at that time (numbers easily verified and anyone fudging numbers would be DQ)...each post would be easy...example
5-Clemson -7
4 -Florida St -3
3-Va Tech +3.5
2-TCU +13
1-Baylor -10

#48 Posted: 7/11/2012 7:14:44 AM no one would need to go out of their way to verify odds....with 20-30 people using the same common link it would be obvious if someone is using a bad number |

Adds too many variables. The format Boom had was fine. Games have to be a spread of 7 or less and those games are limited. Contest is fine without tweeking. Perfectly fair as everybody has the same games and numbers. Nothing to whine or girl about. You are right or you are wrong.

Still think there should be an attempt to have at least 1 game from every conference represented each week (sans the MAC, Belt)
This obviously won't be the case each week- but the attempt should be there
