+180,  2 units to win 3.6.  Looking to score on this value 2nd year in a row.

I will be sad when Landry leaves, love to fade this dude.

The only thing that may ruin this is if baby Stoops can bring the nasty back to that D.  We will see if he can keep his hands off the co eds.

Good luck everyone!

don't like it. LY D was young and if broyles and t lewis dont get hurt, they win 10 maybe 11 games

this yr's edition should be better

i'm not a fan or a hater of them, i just think you have to be careful betting against them this yr

texas should be good and will probably beat them, but sooners looking for revenge against tex tech and ok state, so i see

10-2 record at worst, and your wager loses, but good luck

I don't think the offense will be near as potent, suspensions galore in the recieving corps and a QB who cannot get it done in pressure spots.  All we can do is watch and wait.

I don't think it is a terrible bet, but it's not one I would make.  Good luck with it.

Teams 1 to 9 (Kansas is horrendous), B12 is a very good conference. +180 is what makes this a bet IMO.

who do you think they lose to 3 games? the only 2 possible losses i see is against texas in dallas, and at west virginia because hey never been there and late in season maybe wv comes to play. but other than that????? they should beat okie st at home, should beat nd at home, should win at tcu

im even having a tough time believing texas will beat them, i think ou wins that game. have a feeling ou goes 11-1 and loses at wv, but possible they go 12-0?????

anyone like oklahoma here to go 12-0 besides phil steele???

nothing wrong with this....

nice value...flaky/nutless Sooners won't go undefeated...
and if they lose once....great chance they lose a few more

Texas won't be easy....

Irish who knows.....(OU 6-0 most likely.....very highly ranked....ND maybe 5-2...or even 4-3)

@ WVirg....with Okie St on deck?....has disaster written all over it

@TCU?....off likely huge win over Okie St...in the Frogs biggest home game since WWll maybe?......haha
reckon Patterson has them ready?.....(Frogs also off likely loss to Texas)

*@TTech....Horns on deck.....you would think they slaughter the Red Raiders here....BUT Sooners have lost the last 3X in Lubbock

I see the same risks as bookie above.  Red Raiders will consider the game their super bowl.  TX is a toss up.  OSU near toss up.  ND will be all pressure on OU.  If they lose one early their season will collapse, I believe there is a real lack of leadership on this team.  Lack of depth is a concern in key spots on offense.  WR and QB.   +180 was too hard to pass up for me.

i mean tex tech won in norman, so sooners will go into lubbock this yr out for blood

will also be out for blood against ok state after what was done to them last yr

if jones is healthy at qb, both of those games are clear wins

hm vs ND

texas, wva, and tcu because of all on the road, are the real worries,
but i'll be surprised if they finish less than 10-2

I don't care if the goy line is 9.5 in july my covers brotha, bedlum is bedlum.  The case you are making is the same that was made last year when I made this wager.  We have a few months to ponder the wisdom of this prop bet. Those here who know me know that I am a successful recreational better, I don't claim to be a handicapper, I come here to have fun with other gamblers and post my plays.

On the ROAD.....the last 3 years...

OU has averaged 30 pts...giving up 24.....and have lost 9 of 22 games.....these boys have shown they can lose to most anybody.....at any time
*most disturbing.....LY vs TTech....at home with BCS title game clearly in their sights....many players QUIT....Tech did not.........> the way you can tell is to look AWAY from the ball....are guys finishing blocks?...defensive guys flying to the ball?...or standing around?.....RB's looking for a place to fall down?...terrible

Landry Jones....the last 2 years in road games...
completes 64% of his passes...with 32 TD/19 INT's
*picking out his performance vs 5 toughest D's....(2010-11)....he is 289-441/3064....19 TD/14 INT

Ol' Big Game Bob no doubt a tremendous coach....but the play of the Sooners recently suggests he's getting a little soft.....maybe making life a little too easy....as Mack Brown once did ....> yes life is still easy for the Horns.....but Mack has tightened things up considerably

Sooners (should) kick behind this year...and just might
but cannot be trusted .....just yet

last year's OU D was not strong, i told people this before the season even started, i thought it was hilarious that phil steele picked them #1

if landry jones stays healthy, this team wins 10 games easy

You got a 50/50 shot IMO

It's either 9 or 10 for OU.

Their schedule is tough.  The D has been overrated for a while now.  Landry isn't the leader they've had in the past.

Last year seemingly the wheels fell off for OU.  Their bowl game was a complete snoozefest and lots of rabble was coming out about a team in turmoil.  We'll see how corrected they get it this year.  The preseason BCS title picks just come to be expected.   I think you have a decent chance with the bet.

Agree with Pokeu

my current numbers have

10-2  49%

11-1    20.5%

9-3      20%

12-0   7.5%

8-4-     4%

the +180 makes it worth it ... and you might get Oklahoma -160 or less ML at TCU the last week of the season

I'm a Sooner fan and I keep up with them religiously.

 @ UTEP - WIN

FLORIDA A&M - WIN

KANSAS ST. ( OU OFF AN OPEN DATE ) - WIN

@ TEXAS TECH ( OU OFF AN OPEN DATE ) - WIN

TEXAS - WIN  ( HOPING THE LINE STAYS LESS THAN A TD)

KANSAS - WIN

NOTRE DAME - WIN

@ IOWA STATE - ( HUGE LET DOWN FOR OU ) - LOSS

BAYLOR - WIN

@ WEST VIRGINIA - LOSS

OSU - WIN

@ TCU - WIN

THE SOONERS WILL START THE SEASON AT 7-0 AND WE WILL HEAR THE WHISPERS OF NATIONAL TITLE TALK AND LANDRY FOR THE HEISMAN, AND IT WILL COME ALL CRASHING DOWN LIKE IT DOES EVERY SEASON. I LOVE BOB STOOPS, BUT I JUST DON'T THINK HE CAN WIN ANOTHER NATIONAL TITLE.

Thanks for the info fellas, esp. big red.  Nice to hear from a rational Sooner fan, I'll definitely start watching your posts as I don't bet on big 12 often

if the 2 WR's and 1 back up WR who got suspended, stay suspended, your wager is golden,

if at least 2 of 3 (even top backup and 1 starter) come back, it's 55-45 that OU wins at least 10 gms

This team can go undefeated, they are THAT good. They had a ton of bad luck last year with ridiculous weather delays (Tex Tech), injuries kept piling up (RB Whaley, WR Broyles), but those guys are back and healthy now and Jones turned down a shot at the NFL. With 15 returning starters I'm personally calling for no worse than an 11-5 season for this team.

Sep 1 - @ UTEP (W)
Sep 8- Florida A&M (W)
Sep 22 - Kansas St (W) *off of a bye week
Oct 6 - @ Tex Tech (W) *off another bye week
Oct 13 - Texas (W) (in Dallas, TX)
Oct 20 - Kansas (W)
Oct 27 - Notre Dame (W)
Nov 3 - @ Iowa St (W) OU's last loss in Ames was in 1960! 20 straight winning trips! Can I get 21-0!

Nov 10 - Baylor- Last year was OU first ever loss to Baylor. Revenge!

Nov 17- @ West Virginia (L) 2-2 vs WVa but this is the first trip to Morgantown ever. Edge WVa

Nov 24- Ok State. (W) "Bedlam" Revenge after a horrible loss last year expect OU to never take their foot off the gas pedal in this one.

Dec 1 - @ TCU (W) Visitor is 8-2 since 1945 in this series. TCU is a good team but OU is more complete.

I see them maybe losing on the road to WVa, but that is not to say that the game is unwinnable, they can go in there and take it.
