TCU will not have a very good defense, especially playing in the big 12.

Alabama Everywhere on Defense

LSU every where on Defense

Florida D-line and linebackers

Michigan St especially at Linebacker and corner

Texas especially at corner

Florida St tied for 5th with Texas

looking at Steele's positional rankings...and taking lowest totals....

you get

1)  FSU     #1DL + # 3LB + #7 DB
2)  Ga       6 + 1 + 6
3)  Fla      3 + 5 + 9
4)  Bama     5 + 10 + 5
5)  Tx       4 + 20 + 1
6)  Mich St  10 + 2 + 15
7)  LSU      2 + 26 + 3
8)  Ohio St  7 + 11 + 11
9)  USC      15 + 7 + 8
10) VT       8 + 16 + 16
*just eyeballed last few...may be another higher than Hokies...

where did these teams rank LY?....in terms of yards/play allowed

1)  Bama  (3.3 dayum)
2)  LSU    4.1
3)  FSU
5)  Mich St
7)  Ga
8)  Fla
9)  Tx
34) Ohio St
59) USC

Returning ?
1)  Fla  10 st...14/15 tacklers
2)  Ga   9 st...13/15
3)  FSU  9 st...12/15
4)  MSU  8 st...12/15
5)  LSU  6 st...9/15
6)  Tx   6 st...9/15
7)  Bama 5 st...9/15

So.....there's your top 7 pretty much

If I had to pick a D.....to stop USC let's say....gimme

Bama...Fla St...LSU...Fla...Texas

*before you boys get so excited about those Lane Kiffin led Trojans....check out that #59 DEFENSE last year...that DID NOT TACKLE IN THE SPRING GAME...
recall last time they did that (not tackle wtf)...they had the worst D in school history

its all good B.A.

Trojans will prove u and everyone else wrong...the players they got on DEF is sick, they're just not deep...but i agree no tackling in spring sucks for a great DEF...

if this team gets to the NC, the SEC aint finna be on top no mo...

How could you expect this without seeing it first? Their defense has not been outstanding nor has many in that conference, the depth will hurt them and continue to even more from the sanctions after this year. There are no fronts out of top teams in the SEC scared of USC.

TCU did not have a good D playing in the MWC.   I think they are one ofthe most overated teams for 2012...they will experience some growing pains in their step up in comp...the pundits who advocate that TCU can with the Big XII in year one are absurd...

That's fine but have you been to any big time SEC teams practices and watch the physicality? They not only tackle in practice, they smash heads for the first 4 periods of practice just doing tackling drills. It's a different culture of football between our brand and out there im afraid, Kiffin knows the one I mean all too well.

not a fair question.  cuz if i asked u when the SEC(guessing ur a BAMA guy) played a top PAC-12 team, ur gonna go with the LSU/ORE or AUB/ORE NC game, right? Oregon aint USC nor do they have the tradition and history of the Trojans.

Last Game vs SEC:

2003 wk1

USC ranked #8 @ AUB ranked #6

USC travels to AUB, not no freaking neutral site, thats ballz baby!

Final score : 23-0 TROJANS.

I knew that was the one you would bring up, Auburn was highly overrated that pre season and that was almost a decade ago.
