With Foster kicking Alabama needs a good defense.

Damn- Saban didn't recruit a top kicker yet? I thought that would have been one of the first positions he signed this year. If they could kick FG's last year, they go undefeated and would have been seen as one of the best teams ever in college football.

I don't see them needing to kick many field goals against Michigan. Michigan will be totally one dimensional now with their RB suspended. Bama rolls in this one. I can't wait to bet it!

Saban recruited the top kicking prosect in the nation this year - Adam Griffith out of Calhoun, Georgia.  That said, Cade Foster was also the top kicking prospect coming out of high school, and he can't hit a box in a porno flick (he was 2 of 9 last season).  Thankfully for Alabama fans they also had Jeremy Shelley on the roster.  He was a respectable 21 of 27.

I pretty much don't know garbage about kicking, but from what I've seen with my amateur eyes I think Griffith is by far the best kicker on the roster.  It'll be interesting to see a) who will be the starting kicker this season, and b) whether Griffith's success as a high school kicker will translate to the college level.  My guess is that Griffith will redshirt, and we'll see the Shelley/Foster 3-ring circus for another season.

Hoke, Michigan ready for Alabama

Wolverines set goal to win Big Ten title

http://www.toledoblade.com/Michigan/2012/07/27/Hoke-Michigan-ready-for-Alabama.html

STILL IN LIMBO: Hoke said the statuses of tailback Fitz Toussaint and defensive end Frank Clark have not changed, either for the start of fall practices Aug. 6 and/or the season opener against Alabama. Both remain suspended indefinitely after Toussaint was arrested and charged last weekend with operating while intoxicated and Clark was arrested in June for theft and charged with second-degree home invasion.

Cade Foster couldn't beat his own person!! It's pretty sad when he kicked a ball to the end zone (the couple of times he actually did) and the Bryant-Denny faithful would cheer!

Hell, D.J. Fluker could kick better than box Foster. Damn, just thinking about him really pisses me off!!

Yeah, I don't remember what game it was, but Cade Foster kicked one in the end zone on the students side of the stadium, and they gave him a standing ovat

. . . ovation.

The funny thing about that is coming out of high school, everyone was touting how strong of a leg he had.

I agree Jimmy. He was suppose to be a boss.

That's why I don't put too much emphasis on the star rating system...especially kickers! Lol

BOL to you!!

Yea i have to say Foster is the weak link of the team. I agree with you BamaPiks, and how Saban has done nothing to fix it is beyond me.

Maybe Saban did the season and it's a surprize.

The Alabama linebackers:

The departed

- Hightower (selected in the first round by the New England Patriots in the 20120 NFL Draft).

- Upshaw (selected early in the second round by the Baltimore Ravens).

- Harris (signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons).

- Alex Watkins (signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tennessee Titans).

- Chris Jordan (graduated).

The cast

- Johnson (Sr.)

- Mosley (Jr.)

- Trey DePriest (So.)

- Adrian Hubbard (So.)

- Xzavier Dickson (So.)

- Tana Patrick (Jr.)

- Jonathan Atchison (Jr.)

- Anthony Orr (So.)

- Ryan Anderson (Fr.)

- Dillon Lee (Fr.)

- Reggie Ragland (Fr.)

- Denzel Devall (Fr.)

Remember the names Nico Johnson & C.J. Mosley, Alabama's linebackers will be in trouble if these two get hurt and i mean real bad.

Both Johnson and Mosley are on the same preseason watch lists for four awards: Bednarik Award (best defensive player); Bronko Nagurski Trophy (best defensive player); Butkus Award (best linebacker); and Lombardi Award (best lineman).

Depriest is the 3rd best lineman Alabama has, Alabama is young the best Alabama fans can hope for is none of these 3 hit the pine...

Thank you for making me feel welcome, and your two recommendations! I really want to start the year off well this year. I'm tired of my own weak strategies. Last year, I did well with Moneline Parlays, started with $500 and built it to $5k in less than a couple of weeks...but I fizzled out fast over the course of the season, bummer.

Packers1992, who do you like this year? What are your strategies that you tend to do that have had successful results for you in the past? Thanks
