#3 Posted: 5/26/2012 11:55:34 PM Tennessee better be able to run the ball some this year, they were almost the worst in the entire nation last year on the ground. Which is amazing to think about after the types of teams they have had over the last 12 years. |

#4 Posted: 5/27/2012 11:50:48 AM Should be a great matchup, two highly regarded QB's, tenn receivers vs the DB's of NCSU, somewhere around minus 3 or so maybe more in line here, would expect to see both teams scoring in the mid to upper 20's, |

I would say yes considering most of their players last year were just sophomores. now their a year older with more experience |

#8 Posted: 5/27/2012 7:31:48 PM yeah UTSA brings back 21 starters but they're a new team so technically Tennessee has the most with 19 returning starters. |

#10 Posted: 5/28/2012 11:03:47 AM nc1capper - IMO this is one of the must watch games of the college football opening weekend. As of right now, I think Tenn may have a slight edge...but not much.

5dimes has this as Tenn -6.5 right now. I think I even saw it at -8 when they released the way, way too early lines a few weeks back. I believe the difference in this one will be the Tenn WRs. They will fly across the turf of the dome running vertical routes. The quality depth they at this position should keep their legs fresh throughout the game. Though I do see NC state being a better team this year, I think Tennessee takes this one in front of what turns out to be a home crowd.
Should be a good one though, I know I'll be there.
Enjoyed reading your stuff over the years, keep it up man.

The Tennessee program has been in disarray lately, but I still think they have a chance to be a pretty good team. Their problem is that Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Missouri will all probably be improved as well. So the question is, "What teams in the SEC East will they be better than???" Other than Kentucky and Vandy the answer may be no one.
I haven't really broke this game down, but at first blush I think this will be a very good game. I think Tennessee will probably win, but I don't think I would be comfortable laying more than 3. If I can get 7 or better with the Wolfpack, that's the side I would most likely play.

Yes sir, would come big on ncsu at 7', with both us feeling that way I'm guessing something over 3 but under 7 |

#21 Posted: 6/6/2012 2:49:51 PM wassup Capper....sorry just saw message *been working on hoops/boxing to build up that CFB bankroll.....thru the greatness of the open parlay (5Dimes) Line is 6' now at 5 Dimes....(-120)
First question to consider is WTF is going on at Tenn?.... meaning the exit of DC Wilcox and others.....to Washington???.....when he (supposedly) could at one time gone to TEXAS?......now despite 9 starters back...with a HC on the hotseat....he makes a (really) sub-lateral move???
SO.....you better not bet on that Rocky Top Titanic...just yet....although with 10/9 starters + excellent QB + 5/5 OL + P/K + a much better D......they might be pretty good *Dooley can't coach?....huh?.....sure.....young guy learning on the job ....but facing tremendous challenges from Kiffin BS....tons of injuries.....and unreasonable expectations....gotta give him an incomplete so far dontcha ?.....
NC St.....(7/6 + good QB + 4/5 OL....but #2 OL in nation with 112 starts back....+ P/K....only 2/7 def front return) matches up well with Vols....excellent pass D.....and can bring heat (LY #9 sacks).....Vols can't run...Pack good vs the run also....so Vols should have some trouble moving it......that Jon Tenuta still around methinks (he knows WTF he's doing defensively) Vols also switching to a 3-4 on D.....so MAY be a slight factor early....when factoring in Pack HC O'Brien's record as dog.....25-13-1 ATS or so....15-8 road dog...7-0 neutral......NC St definitely looks like a (possible) strong play here.......

#24 Posted: 6/18/2012 10:53:23 PM I agree. Anything over a TD seems too high for this game. I think Tenn will win but by over a TD not so sure
