I love all of you FSU haters.  We have more talent on our 3rd team defense than most teams 1st team.  If our offense has a pulse, which it will we could easily go undefeated and win it all.  For those of you who say our schedule is easy, check out where it is ranked at the end of the season.

I see that he has Oklahoma playing Florida State, but it doesn't look like he's calling for a winner. He is just predicting Bowl matchups in his book.

Here is the rest of Phil Steele's predicted bowl matchups, in case anyone was wondering. Any notable omissions? ^South Florida making the Orange Bowl, that is a surprise to me. That unit must be pretty solid this year. He has them winning the Big East (I guess it's hard to forget about West Virginia being there), he has them on his most improved list (vs the #57 difficult schedule) and landing in a BCS bowl for the first time ever as well as finishing the season ranked in the top 10. Should be interesting, i do personally think QB B.J. Daniels is a decent dual-threat QB who can cruise through this schedule. They might even go 11-1, besides Florida State and Miami they dont have a lot of stiff competition in this schedule.

I didn't like FSU a lot the last few years, but I am on board TY.

Their D Line and Bama's O Line are the two best this year in the trenches.  

FSU/Bama would be a tremendous BCS game.

Phil Steele is an idiot, his book has a ton of info, too much...too much about 5 years back and on about past players stats and positions.  its really useless information in that book.  his depth charts are basically out of whack by the time the season starts too.

his nfl book is 10x better

if by "go undefeated" you mean win all of the games on the current regular season schedule... then yes, that could happen...


if by "win it all" you mean win the national championship game against Team X... then no, that will definitely not happen...



if Florida St should manage to get to a title game against virtually any team that could conceivably get there against them, i would dump probably the largest shitload of money i have ever bet against them... it is almost impossible for me to imagine a scenario in which they would be in the title game, and i wouldn't be betting a massive amount of money against them...

It made sense though, he would have to get lucky enough for them to get there in the most unfamiliar and unusual fashion by not even winning their division or playing in their conference championship..
