#80 Posted: 11/21/2012 6:47:47 PM They may very well get slammed by BAMA..... I expect nothing less from the next BCS Champion.... But, if UGA comes out of GT game with no injuries from cut blocks, anything can happen....
It will be BAMA/Georgia winner vs Florida for BCS championship |

#83 Posted: 11/21/2012 9:50:53 PM Yeah, Florida in the National Championship! Winner against Missouri 14-7, had to block a punt against the New Guinea College of Taxidermy in the closing seconds to win a home game!!! Let's put Florida in against Alabama for a 6-3 final score! I'd rather watch a rerun of the MAC title game... |

OK im off it.....all ESPN talks about is the friggin SEC!!!! I love Defense now, and a team running the ball 85% of the time!!! Thank you for setting me straight!!! Im glad i have you to tell me what kind of football to watch and what is the "Best" Thank you for that...
By the way my team is winning the C-USA, and i could care less that they arent being talked about, what i do care about is that there were 2 SEC teams in the N.C. last year, and probably 2 this year!!! WHY??? ND will lose to USC, Florida squeaks by FSU, and Bama drills UGA ...= Florida vs Bama SEC N.C. Game!!!! friggin Ridiculous!!!!I dont want to see SEC vs SEC on the last NCAAF game of the year!! But please talk me into liking SEC!!! Your out of your mind!!!
THE TALKING HEADS AT ESPN HAVE DETERMINED THE N.C. Contenders SINCE ITS INCEPTION!!!! Who is the BCS good for??? SEC, Ohio St. USC, OU, Texas....= Highest revenue producing teams!!! |

#89 Posted: 11/22/2012 8:23:20 AM As an Auburn Alum i think you are way off base. 2004 did it for me. A garbage Oklahoma team plays USC for BCS. I'm biased, but Auburn would have beaten both of those teams. We were shut out of the game because of ESPN! Quit bitching about ESPN favortism. It's not there.
A week ago it was Kstate & Oregon. They both screwed the pooch and let Alabama and 2 other SEC teams in the mix.
Unique situation with Tex A&M this year and Manziel causing havoc in SEC. Without a special player, no other team in the country comes into the SEC and makes an impact. Hell, A&M still has two losses and isnt playing in the championship. Two losses are to SEC teams!
That's my point. USC, Oregon, Ohio State, KState and whoever else comes to the SEC will have two losses in conference play and be a non factor in BCS talk.

#90 Posted: 11/24/2012 3:36:53 AM Georgia 2012 Schedule:
Buffalo / 4-7 Record / Won 45-23
@Missouri / 5-6 Record / Won 41-20
Florida Atlantic U. / 3-8 Record / Won 56-20
Vanderbilt / 7-4 Record / Won 48-3
Tennessee / 4-7 Record (0-7 SEC) / Won 51-44
@South Carolina / 9-2 Record / Lost 35-7
@Kentucky / 2-9 Record (0-7 SEC) / Won 29-24
(N)Florida / 10-1 Record / Won 17-9
Ole Miss / 5-6 Record / Won 37-10
@Auburn / 3-8 Record (0-7 SEC) / Won 38-0
Georgia Southern (FCS Team) / 8-3 Record / Won 45-14
So let me get this straight: Georgia has a shot to play in a BCS game, possibly a national championship by playing a schedule with a combined record of 60-61? Wait, let me throw out the FCS team, 52-58? With three teams that are a combined 0-21 in the SEC?
I hope to god Georgia beats Alabama and gets in the National Championship game so I can bet the farm on an overrated SEC team like I did when Utah shoved it up Saban's behind in the Sugar Bowl. Unfortunately Mark Richt will still be the coach, so he won't be prepared to win a big game. Life is good for an average team in the SEC.... |

#91 Posted: 11/24/2012 4:04:14 AM The SEC lifers are always going to be this way. It is what it is just let it go man. Just like when they said a Big 12 school would never make it in the SEC, it would never happen and if it did it would have take years before they adapt to the awesome speed and physicality of the defenses and offenses in the greatest conference of all time. Beating Alabama Hah!! We all know that would be impossible. I guess Texas A & M is the only team in all of college football that could have done it right?

#93 Posted: 1/30/2013 8:33:01 PM Get ready, Alabama boys, Nick Saban is getting ready to crash and burn. Mark Emmert has been protecting him. All these cheating accusations keep popping up. He's been caught cheating again. How much will this cost the University of Alabama? Will they sweep this one under the rug? One day, all the cheating will come out.
Emmert was chancellor at LSU for five years, from 1999 to 2004, and was instrumental in hiring a promising-but-not-entirely-proven Nick Saban as football coach
The 2009 season marks the beginning of a new 15-year, $2.25 billion contract with ESPN
WHO HAS A PREEXISTING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE NCAA PRESIDENT, RICH AND OUT OF CONTROL BOOSTERS, AND A COACH WHO WILL GET RECRUITS JOBS (OR THEIR GIRLFRIEND)?? And allow players to do anything to win~!??
Feb 2011 Alabama still on probation mind you!! The NCAA Committee on Infractions released a statement last year calling the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa the following:A "serial repeat violator," with an "abysmal infractions track record" and an "extensive recent history of infractions cases unmatched by any other member institution in the NCAA.” There were (allegedly) recruiting violations with current high school junior, Barry Sanders, Jr. He was seen at a recent home basketball game seated with his dad, Barry Sanders Sr. (NFL Hall of Famer) and coach Nick Saban sitting right between them
ESPN is reporting that “A man found dead Tuesday in a Memphis home is believed to be Logan Young, an Alabama booster convicted of bribing a high school football coach to get a top recruit for the Crimson Tide.” Police are investigating the case as a homicide.
there is virtually no mention of this on ESPN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 years no mention...potential cover up...3 out of 4 National championships...dynasty,.....P.E.Ds....this is right up ESPNs ally!!! |

Key said he has initially reached out to many of his athlete clients through Facebook and Twitter. He would not comment on which players at which schools he sold deer-antler spray to this season. Key said at certain points, the strength staffs at Alabama and LSU said they did not endorse his dealings with players.
"I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble," Key said. "The whole idea is to compete without cheating. We're not bad guys."
Key said several players from SEC schools he claims to have sold products to reached out to him on Tuesday.
"They wanted more product," he said.
also sold its goods to members of the 2012 national championship Alabama football team, according to a co-owner of the company.
And Christopher Key, the SWATS co-owner, told ESPN's Joe Schad on Wednesday he personally witnessed about five Alabama players spray what he sold them into their mouths.
"I showed them how to use it," Key said.
Key said about 20 players purchased the spray at a hotel room in New Orleans leading into the BCS national championship game against LSU. And he said he sold about 20 more bottles to players at the apartment of an Alabama player 10 days before the game.
Sports Illustrated first reported the connection between SWATS, an Alabama-based company, and several SEC programs.
The Sports Illustrated story reported that Key filmed a sales pitch to a number of Alabama players two days before the 2012 title game in New Orleans. The article mentioned former Crimson Tide defensive lineman Quinton Dial and current players Adrian Hubbard and Alex Watkins as being part of the sales pitch.
Watkins made a YouTube testimonial for SWATS, and Hubbard was filmed in the hotel room saying he had the deer-antler spray, SI reported. Deer-antler spray contains a substance, IGF-1, which is on the NFL's banned list.
"Nothing we offer them will make them fail a drug test," Key said, when asked about the substance being banned by the NCAA. "This will make you heal faster. This will give you nutrients. There have been many clinical studies." Key said he has received cease-and-desist letters from Alabama, LSU and Auburn demanding not to use current players' likenesses. "But you can't tell me I can't talk to your players," Key said. "We live in a free country." |

#97 Posted: 1/30/2013 8:37:59 PM REEXISTING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE NCAA PRESIDENT, WITH RICH AND OUT OF CONTROL BOOSTERS, AND A COACH WHO WILL GET RECRUITS JOBS (OR THEIR GIRLFRIEND) NOT TO MENTION SAY AND DO ANYTHING TO GET THEM ELIGIBLE! ESPN HAS 2.25B interest in the SECs success, AND Emmert was put where he is becasue Sabans Success and no way Emmert does anything but protect Saban!!! The government has made it such a pain in the behind for online betting that it is not worth the risk to load up and bet on Bama!!!
As long as EMMERT IS IN CHARGE OF THE NCAA... ALABAMA CAN DO NO WRONG!!!
Feb 2011 Alabama still on probation mind you!!
The NCAA Committee on Infractions released a statement last year calling the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa the following:
A "serial repeat violator," with an "abysmal infractions track record" and an "extensive recent history of infractions cases unmatched by any other member institution in the NCAA.”
There were (allegedly) recruiting violations with current high school junior, Barry Sanders, Jr. He was seen at a recent home basketball game seated with his dad, Barry Sanders Sr. (NFL Hall of Famer) and coach Nick Saban sitting right between them. Sure, it’s conceivable they got their tickets from the same scalper. "Hey, Barry, what’s up!? Great seats, huh? Oh really, your son plays football? How nice."
I probably could have gotten two seats together.

But he also said he would sign a piece of paper to show that they are keeping their word – they are going to sign it and they want me to sign it to make sure I know I still have my scholarship.” [Emphasis added.]
So this kid believes he’s going to get some sort of binding commitment from Alabama for a scholarship in a year’s time. I can’t wait to hear from the NCAA about that. (Not to mention every school in the SEC.)
I said most interesting, because that’s not the only eye-popping comment this kid made. Check this out:
“He said I’m going to stay in Georgia. They are going to find me a job. I’m going to work. I’m going to physical therapy at least seven days per week. I guess I will work, go to physical therapy and get strong … I will come in with the class of 2013. I’ll get there with the early group so I can do winter workouts and spring football.”
Trent Richardson and Booster:
Trent Richardson and Former Alabama Booster Relationship?
August 24, 2011 | Filed under: BeyondU Sports | Posted by: Raju Kansagra
Okay, I’ll preface this post by making it clear we have NO OPINION on this matter, but that at the very least its entertaining to dream up these scenarios brought to us courtesy of SportsbyBrooks. Normally we try to stay away from the NCAA rumor mill, but figured this time we’d led you be the judge about what to make about this, if anything.
Brooks has been on Alabama’s tail all summer about possible NCAA violations, most of which were tied to T-Town Menswear owner Tom Albetar,which Alabama disassociated from last year. Whether or not any of it is true remains to be seen because the NCAA has yet to lend a firm hand in that mess.
The latest controversial claims by Brooks is that a disassociated Alabama booster had a relationship with Alabama running back Trent Richardson. Oh Brooks, you really must hate Alabama!
“WHAT THE? Why would disassociated Alabama booster have photo of Trent Richardson birthday cake? Is it unreasonable to think that Richardson may have received a gift or three from that same disassociated booster if he was at a Richardson birthday function? Seriously, am I being unreasonable asking that question?” |
