I don't see a difference THIS YEAR. You put any conference head to hear with the SEC this year, and the SEC goes AT LEAST 10-2.

Mike Gundy himself just stated that he didn't think that the Cowboys deserve to be ranked ahead of Alabama.

OSU football: Mike Gundy would put Alabama ahead of Cowboys

The OSU coach says ‘In our situation, if I was doing it fair, I don't know how I could put us in front of (Alabama) right now.'

 No white flag here.

The more that you try to act like you are on the right side of this, the more that YOU are the one that looks like a moron.

It's a simple fact... The rest of the world knows it, except you... It's not like I am just picking a statement out of the air, and throwing it out there. It has been proven, and it is the way it is. The SEC has been better for the past 5 years, and they still are. Deal with it!

sure... because you say so... say it loud enough and maybe i will even believe you...

by the way, Laroja!  in my opinion, you just now said the single stupidest thing that has worked itself into our vernacular... probably ever...

dismiss somebody's argument by saying... "u mad!"... the first time i hear somebody say this (no matter who they are, or what relation they have to me in my life)... i immediately and forever consider them to be an imbecile...

it is truly the most pathetic thing somebody can say to win an argument... anytime somebody sees that there should be a red light flashing in their head... WARNING!  IDIOT ALERT!  this person has nothing to say, and no recourse, other than to resort to childish retorts...

and how will you respond to this?

"why so mad, bro?"

yes, 29... and Nick Saban also said that, in a 3-team race, head-to-head should be the deciding factor (paraphrased during the 2003 season)...

in other words, according to his argument... LSU-Bama broke the tie in this debate already... that is straight out of Saban's mouth!

i don't even know how to respond to this kind of "thinking"... it scares me, though... that you think it has been somehow "proven" that this year's SEC is better than all other conferences...
  1. because of the last 5 years success
  2. and in spite of all present evidence to the contrary...

“If somebody sat me down and said (I) had to make a decision,” Gundy said, “with where we're at right now, Alabama lost to what would be the No. 1 team in the country (LSU), and Oklahoma State lost to Iowa State.

“In our situation, if I was doing it fair, I don't know how I could put us in front of (Alabama) right now.”

oh yea?  so him talking about what Gundy says in a moment of political correctness (a mind game that all coaches play)... isn't feeble?  but me talking about what Saban said when he was trying to selfishly defend his team (in a past season), is not feeble?

let's cut to the chase... you are feeble!

Ice, I'll throw out the last 5 years if you want.

Bama lost to LSU.

Ok.St lost to an unranked Iowa State team..........

There's a reason LSU/ALA/ARK was ranked 1-2-3 two weeks ago. And it's not because they are overrated.

I am not talking about what Nick Saban said 8 years ago,I'm talking about what the Head Coach of Oklahoma State said yesterday.

But I guess that you feel that you are more qualified to judge the situation over the head coach of the team in question.

Hawk... why does it matter who they lost to, but it doesn't matter who they've beaten?

go back and read my post comparing this to the Boise debate from last year... then it was all about the fact they hadn't beaten anybody... now it's all about who you lost to...

that's horseshit!  you can't have it both ways...

which is EXACTLY why i looked at the entire body of work... and THAT is how you really measure up two teams...

in logic, you take your argument to the extreme, if you want to test it and find out whether or not it is valid...

let's take your argument to the extreme... what if Alabama played Sun Belt teams the entire year, with a game against LSU sprinkled right in the middle... they would still only have 1 loss to LSU... would they still get to use your argument?

so the question becomes, where is the line at which that argument completely falls apart?  and the answer is... it falls apart as soon as you can take it to the extreme and see that it falls apart...

you cannot kill the OSU argument in the same manner... as long as we have a situation with two 1-loss teams... my argument remains valid at both ends of the spectrum, but yours does not!

it truly is a testament to the level of ignorance around here to see so many people getting laid to waste by an open-and-shut case... and still trying desparately to defend it, without even using any kind of evidence...

other than the single, simple-minded, and easily destroyed statement:  "Oklahoma St lost to Iowa St!"

well... Iowa St ranks in the top 30 of CFB... but you guys seem to be acting like they are a bottom 30 team... well, that's just bullshit...

all at once, you guys want to reward Alabama for what the SEC has done the last 5 years, and penalize OSU for what IOWA STATE HAS DONE THE LAST 5 YEARS!

it's a horsehit, untenable position... and like i said, it really is a testament to the level of ignorance around here, to see so many people exhibiting such an INTENSE level of denial in the face of damning evidence...

I don't agree with Ice very often if at all but I think he is correct on this issue. When your claims to fame are a home loss- a 3rd place finish in your conference - and a 2nd place finish in your own division - yet you are without a doubt the #2 team in the country there's a problem with the system.

The BIG12 is better than the SEC this year from top to bottom.Nobody can look at the schedules and wins and say OSU's isn't better than Alabama's.

you're a lawyer, right?  be honest... you just resorted to trying to slip in a game FROM LAST SEASON...

look no further for proof of how weak your argument is, when you have to do something like that...

i think the funniest thing is that the most impressive win that ANY team on Alabama's schedule had this year... came against #12 Tx A&M... A friggin BIG 12 TEAM!

HA!
and now im going to make u look like the asshat u are Arkansas beats a&M by 4,Ok St beats a&M by 1 ALABAMA and LSU both Destroy Arkansas  so if arkansas barely beats A&m and Oklahoma St barely beats A&m but yet Lsu,and Bama both behind rape Arkansas what do u think will happen when Bama ,or LSU plays ok St? Here i will tell u what will happen those would be behind rapings too in Bama, and LSU,s favor this aint about who the better conference is idiot this is about who the best 2 teams are and with out a doubt that is LSU,and Bama and anyone who says otherwise is a god damn fool and 1 more thing which i find really funny Ok St lost to IOWA ST who u are counting as quality wins for just about everyone who beat them when in the games they lost they got behind raped too but yet somehow u seem to think thats a good loss now go away IOWA st IS A BAD TEAM Put Ok St in SEC and at best they are a 3rd or 4th place team ,they would lose to bama, and lsu in behind rapings and Georgia,South Carolina, and Arkansas might be losses too

my point has been proven beyond a shadow of doubt to anybody with a remotely open-mind and a few working brain cells...

garbage... most of the people arguing AGAINST my point have made a rock-solid case for me, simply by avoiding all real arguments...
