Tough day in the NFL, let's get back on the money train.
Bowling Green +5
Northern Illinois is coming off a huge win over Toledo in the Glass Bowl. I think after such a huge emotional victory, they will have a tough time bringing the same intensity to the table in this game against Bowling Green. NIU is a good squad led by quarterback Chandler Harnish who has 18 TD's and 4 picks and also leads the team in rushing. No doubt NIU's offense is high-powered, but there are two keys to this game which I believe are working against them. First is their defense, which has allowed 35 points per game, granted that number is inflated by a few bad performances, but it leaves a lot to be desired. Second is their inability to possess the ball, ranking last in the conference in time of possession. Granted, they have a quick strike offense, but if Bowling Green can move and possess the ball, I think they have a good chance of staying in this game. Bowling Green has a solid quarterback and two good receivers, and should be getting back their running back after he suffered a concussion. Bowling Green struggled in their last game against Kent State due to a lack of offensive balance. However, the same passing game is in place and they should be able to get the ground game going again with Samuel back. This is good timing as NIU has gotten torched on the ground this year. Bowling Green has a few extra days of rest, and NIU is coming off a huge emotional victory, so I think situationally Bowling Green is a great play. I think their balanced attack will move the ball effectively against NIU's defense and wear them down. This is NIU's third straight road game, and they have struggled on the road on the whole this season, so I think everything points to Bowling Green in this game for me.

N. Illinois will run the hell out of the ball controlling the clock and keeping BG D on the field while keeping their D fresh. Look for a blowout here 42-17 N. Illinois.

bowling green wont keep up with Nill. everytime Nill gets the ball, its gonna be a td or fg. Nill defense suck balls but they need just one stop and this game is over. basically what im trying to say is bowling green will not keep up scoring with NIll

Play NIU first half and BG in the 2nd half. I can't speculate what the outcome of the game is but No-Illinois has the offensive potential to blowout BG. Yes NO-Ill's defense is awful but how will BG stop dual qb threat Harnish?

Laroja...interesting take on it. Like I said, I expect last week's game to have an impact on how NIU performs tonight. They have plenty of talent and weapons, but I think they may come out a little flat, but I've been wrong before. GL with your plays.
