If you were Oregon would you have let them score at 1:50 left?

I expected are resonding ARE YOU DRUNK here (and yes I am) so bear with me.

Auburn had the ball at the Oregon 20ish with 1:50 to go. No doubt they bleed the clock, worse case scaenario a 37 yd FG attempt max.

Would you have let Auburn score a TD let? Of course no guarantee they take it.

What is a better option for Oregon, hope for a miss on a 37 yd or less FG or try for a TD with 1:50 and a timeout?

boys - forget this one. I have no clue what I was trying to say there, maybe I can figure it out tomorrow.

word of advice: never get hammered one a monday night watching a game you didn't even have action on.

I was thinking the same and was expecting a Vanzack thread....I think they were so discombobulated from that long gain, they didn't have a second to even think about it. (Not that they would have necessarily have done it)...Great kicker for Auburn, you have to entertain the thought...

Yeah, especially knowing Auburn has a very good kicker, I was screaming to let them score. If they would have taken it the Ducks would have had 1:30 to come back.

It's still a 30-35 yard FG......I'd make him kick it from there...not sure about percentages and what not, but I would not have let them score.

Actually, I think they were on the 30....it would have been 40+ yards..definitely make him kick.

No you're right. I was thinking the same. Chip could have given offense his offense the ball back with plenty of time.

You could see the look on his face during that 18 yard field goal that he fucked that one up.

Let them score,

Oregon's coach seems far more progressive and forward-thinking than most of these dinosaur coaches so I was very, very surprised he didn't let them walk in.  That was quite baffling.

definitely should've let them score. Oregon has scored under 2 min all season and probably would've gone for 2 to win it.

Without a doubt they should have let them score.In the end a PAT for the win.Coaches panic too.Why they dont put that one in there chart is beyond me.Oregon would get the ball back and Aub probably would have played some zone for a while for a chance for OT instead of a 95-99%chance at the loss

no doubt they go pervent there. would have been much easier to get down field than you'd think.

NO! I would have just tackled his ARSE and put him down on the ground!  I would have made them earn it, not simply just let them walk 37 yards to beat me. Nope; I would have pulled a Wood Hays!

Close call because at first it was a fairly long FG. But then after the big run it was too late.

Once Auburn was inside the 20 yard line, I was telling everyone I was watching the game that Oregon should let them socre.  There was about 1 minute on the clock at that point, and they one timeout remaining.

I think you got to let them score, they were not going to just hold them for a 4O yard FG, you knew they would get closer and then run out the clock.

Oregon coach should of kicked the FG instead of going for 4th and goal.Trying to run it up the middle for the 500th time when you have gotten nothing all night.  Then they could of bleed the clock and scored the winning TD.
