New to the forum and this is my first post!! I appreciate everyone for all the insight over the last couple of weeks.
First let me say that UGA is my team and I'm well aware of all the trouble's we've had this year but I'm a fan of money more than UGA. I always bet something on the game and I usually do pretty well projecting the outcome of my team. I live 25 miles from Athens and it has been a long time since I've heard all the lunatic fringe calling for the HC's head. Rest assured Mark Richt is not going anywhere. I think 90 plus wins in 9 seasons buys you a couple of bad years but the Dawg that barks the loudest is the one hear on the radio/media. The major alumni understands what is going on and I'm not saying they are happy but they will keep Richt for another year and he knows that things need to change in a hurry.
I didn't keep track of the bets I made on UGA until last year but my record stands at 14 - 6 over the last 2 years. 9 - 4 in 09 and 5-2 in 10. I know none of this helps you out now but I thought I would start sharing my picks weekly to try and help out the forum because we are all here for one purpose. And to those that think I'm a homer and only pick UGA these have been my plays this year. My play are in Bold. No way to prove my plays and I don't really care to hear all the haters saying "way to post plays after the game is over". For all on Covers my record is 0-0. I'm just here to try and help out like most of everyone else.
UGA vs ULL -28.5 and OVER 51.5
UGA vs So. Carolina UNDER 44.5 its is the only bet to make when these 2 play. This is free money!!! Write it down. I think this game has gone under 12 out of the last 13 times.
UGA vs Arkansas +1.5
UGA vs Miss st PK and UNDER 45.5
UGA vs Colorado -4.5
UGA offense: Aaron Murray is a stud! He has been 1 of 2 bright spots for this team and the other is WR Kris Durham. One thing everyone should know, Murray has not had the whole offense playing at the same time all season. Yes we all know AJ Green was suspended for 4 games but that's not all that UGA has missed and everyone will see a big difference this weekend when Murray will have all his weapons for the first time this season.
Game 1 - vs LA Laf - NO GREEN and NO WASHAUN and CALIB KING got hurt in that game after he had 10 rushes for 47 yards and Kris Durham had 5 catches for 83 yards and a TD.
Game 2 - vs USC - NO GREEN AND NO KING. Washaun 19 rushes for 75 yards and Kris Durham 3 catches for 76 yards. Washaun fumbles on the 2 yard-line late in the third and it killed the Dawgs. Change the outcome of that game big time.
Game 3 - vs Arkansas - NO GREEN AND NO KING. Washaun 18 rushes for 87 yards and Kris Durham 5 catches for 101. Very close game in the 4th but still lost to a better team in my opinion.
Game 4 - vs Miss st. - NO GREEN. Kris Durham 4 catches for 64 yards and had a TD called back. Washaun 10 rushes 36 yards along with 2 catches for 31 yards but got popped at the 2 yard line and fumbled in the end-zone. He returned to the game but was not the same and that is why he only played a few plays in the CU game.
Game 5 - vs Colorado - NO DURHAM AND NO WASHAUN ( played a few plays due to the hit he took the week before). Caleb King 12 rushes for 100 yards and AJ Green 7 catches for 119 yards 2 TD's and 1 rush for 40 yards.
All of UGA games have been close and they could've won all those games. UGA has not been blown out by anyone this year. They could easy be 4-1 or 5-0 instead of 1-4. But you are what you are.
AJ Green is unbelieveable. If you watched the game against Colorado, UGA came out slow in the 1st. AJ didn't even touch the ball at all in the 1st Q but in the beginning of the 2nd Q he took off for 40 yards on a reverse and that changed everything. UGA was losing 14-3 until he touched the ball and after that is was 24-14 when he left the game early in the 3rd Q. The Defense was a beast from the first time he touch the ball until he left. Then as we all know it fell apart.
To sum up the offense A. Murray has not been playing with a full deck. Not one time this year has he had the Green and Durham tandem on the field or for that matter King and Ealey. If you want to double Green then Durham at 6'5 will kill you. And we saw what the return of Green did for the offensive line as Calib King had 100 yards on 12 carries and as a team 188 yards on 31 carries by far UGA best output on the ground for the year. UGA has beat themselves this year. They have lost 2 fumbles on the G-Line and had 1 TD called back that would've most likley change the outcome of USC and Miss St. They have also had terrible penalties at the worst time of the game. If UGA can hold onto the ball and cut down on penalties I see this offense having a field day this weekend and OC Mike Bozo knows he is on his way out so you can expect that the playbook will be opened.
Sorry for the long write up on offense but I've watch every UGA game twice this year and there was a lot to point out in my opinion. And if anyone thinks that AJ Green wouldn't have impacted those first 3 loses and not having Durham the whole game and AJ for almost 2Q in the last lost wouldn't have changed the outcome of those games shouldn't be gambling. I will be back with something on defense. Don't worry it won't be as long as this. Not to much to say about the D.
