Wow, guys. What a tough game to watch in Virginia Saturday afternoon. Friday night a bunch of us went out to P.K's for dinner, then to Top of the Stairs for some drinks. They have something there called a "Rail" that's like 10 different kind of liquors...only had one and ended up sticking to Coors the rest of the night. That TOS is a great bar if you're ever in Blacksburg.

We started tailgating Saturday morning at 8:30AM. Everyone was great to be around. The VT fans were very classy before the game...not much grilling for our camp, lots of ham sandwiches and beer. Weather was great.
Man, everything was going great in the 1st half, wasn't it? It was playing out like I thought it would. WTF happened to this football team in the second half? I'll tell you exactly what happened. ECU OC Lincoln Riley got his ass handed to him by Bud Foster. Period. Foster brought the house up the gut relentlessly and Riley didn't adjust or have an answer. I sat there so pissed as time after time the Pirates made no attempt at misdirection, nothing to keep the defense honest. Davis threw picks when ECU could move the ball and the rest is history.
Unbelievable cover for Hokies backers. Just an unreal football game. I still can't believe how that happened. If I had to do it over again I'd make the same bet. I think we had it capped correctly...just an extremely inopportune set of circumstances there in the second half. I don't know what else to say about it other than it's something to learn from and we'll move on from here.
To everyone who took the Hokies, congratulations on your win. If there are any VT fans here on the forum outside of just being a gambler, I must say that we had a great trip. VT fans were incredibly classy after that game and even during the game when things looked bleak for their faithful. I can't say enough about what a great place that is and about the people that support that University. 1st class indeed.
It's nice to get a bye week here. #1, so that the team can learn from where they're getting exposed (linebacker, Blitz pick up) and #2, most importantly to reflect on the 3 games we've capped so far this season. I've got a lot to learn from going into next Saturday's game against UNC-CH in Chapel Hill.
I'm really looking forward to that game and will be in the Triangle to watch it live (unless something changes). Let's see how the Heels do this week against Rutgers in Piscataway. That game is a pick right now. Should be a fun one to watch.
Hate we missed on the VT game, but that's the way it goes. We'll bounce back. Just manage your money properly and we'll try to get back on track next weekend.
