Boise feels slighted because its like driving across town to a party and the strippers have already left.

Without BYU and Utah in the conference, the MWC will never get AQ status and Boise might as well stayed in the WAC

They are only IN the conference b/c Utah is out.I read the Fresno thing but I dont know that Nevada goes w/out them. No matter what MWC gets more credit than WAC, it&#x27;s still a move up.

Its a done deal with Nevada and Fresno State. BYU was to annouce to go intependent in football and join the WAC in all other sports. now with Nevada and Fresno gone who knows what the Holier then thou will do

double- Yes, that is one of the reasons they want to go Indy. They wouldn't have to share it, like ND. It is a big reason why Texas is thinking about it. Once you have your own network, its like writing yourself a check, I.E the YES network for the Yankees.

It was on Scout.com   Obviously just rumors.  they wont officially jump ship until BYU confirms they are going.  but they need to by a sept 1 deadline for 2011

I don&#x27;t see BYU leaving. I think they are just saying they are leaving to get some leverage. Every team in the MWC gets a cut of the BYU TV deal. I think BYU will get a much bigger cut of the revenue and remain in the MWC. It makes financial sense for BYU to be Independent, but it is more logical to stick with the MWC with the additions of Boise, Fresno, and Nevada. &#xD;&#xA;With BYU being Independent, they would never get a BCS bowl bid

Right before the Big 12 was created, I was living in Lawrence, KS and had a few friends who were coaches at KU. The powers that be were telling the coaches that the plan wa sthe conference was going to be the "Super 12" and that BYU was a part of it. I believe that Baylor was the odd team out until the Texans strong armed the Big 8 Schools into taking Baylor.

Maybe they are looking into BYU as an 11th team along with someone like TCU or New Mexico
