tilt-you think he signs or not...i got a prop bet that he signs for -150....not sure if i should take it or not. the "recruiting gurus" seem split on him

I think he will be "N" but these late reports of UCLA got me nervous tonight

way too much juice if u ask me, though

should be more like -110...IMO anyway

Kid would be crazy not to play for the best coaching staff in America.He would be a legend at Nebraska. Fact.

I can live with it if he chooses Oregon St, as Mike Riley is a great football coach. 

But if he chooses to play for that snake Neuheisal at UCLA, I will be leaving work early tomm to go home and drown my sorrows in a bottle of Johnny Walker.

I can't believe people still get duped into this. Most of these kids will be busts even in college.

Yes they do. Fans of the so called "#1 recruiting class" get excited will all the blue chippers they just signed. When in reality most of them never live up to the hype.

Just look at the pro-bowl. I'd say 80% weren't sought out in high school.

Its the biggest scam in sports yet gullible people like you get sucked into it every season.

paying for internet site and magazines about recruiting? I dont know who does that. Anyone who does is a moron and deserves to be scammed.

college scouts and recruiters do, but who cares about signing day, if your team has a good recruiting class it basically means they wont suck for the future but  thats about it

I certainly don't pay for any info. Following recruiting is just a way of getting a football fix during the off season, plus it is always nice to see where local talent ends up.

I'm always impressed that you never see Va.Tech with a top 10 class..but yet they are a solid team year after year....

no trojan its not what it should be all about...as a penn state fan i dont care about being 10-2 and going to a bcs game, i want to win a national championship...and signing day rankings does nothing to secure that for anyone...cut and paste again

Ok, you make sense, not. You're saying who cares about the recruiting class? How do you expect to win National Championships without having great recruiting class? Name one team since the BCS to win a NC without having great recruiting classes?

Mike Reily and Oregon St is another good example. 

Coaching staffs do matter.  But if you want to win the NC, you gotta have the horses too.

UCLA got a good bunch of players.  Now lets see if Rick and his staff can do anything with them.  Don't hold your breath.  Weis flopped with good players.

dont twist my words trojan.... I dont have to personally care about it to make it matter for my team. Two of Penn States better wrs of all time norwood and butler were not highly recruited at all, nor were michael robinson or darryl clark.  Pat Devlin was at qb and he is throwing for Deleware now.  Vidal Hazelton was the greatest wr recruit ever and chose your trojans over penn state and that was such a huge deal?  Where is he now, Cincy...maybe at usc those recruiting classes are feel good stories but whether penn state gets a top 10, top 30 class it doesnt matter much to me because paterno has a history of using walk-ons and lower rated players and making them productive football players


the real question you can ask yourself is if kiffins pockets are as deep as Carroll's for recruits? do you feel so good about henderson's verbal? he is as good as gone.  

i dont get all hyped about these classes with kids nowadays getting kicked out for theft, substance and physical abuse etc..austin scott another huge recruit penn state had who couldnt play worth a lick and was a head case while larry johnson and curtis enis were complete after thoughts who sit atop a lot of the psu rushing records.  its just a feel good story to get a good recruiting class, it assures nothing, certainly not a national championship.
