One of the main reasons I am gonna take Utah tonight is because of the performances of both Wyoming and BYU in recent days. Wyoming beat a good team from the Wac, while BYU crushed a team who was a cunthair from going to the Rose Bowl. Like last night we have a solid Mountain West team playing a solid Pac-10 squad. I am simply going to have faith that those prior games are true indications of a very underrated MWC, and possibly a very overrated Pac-10. I have to admit I am afraid of the possibility of California being "bigger and badder" than Utah and dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. If that seems to be the case early on, Cal very well can grind away an easy victory, but I have faith Utah can bang away with this squad and do just enough running(and stopping the run) to be successful
Good luck to all.

Utah +3(maybe higher by gametime).

Nobody has slowed Utahs offense down this season.......Cal is certainly more capable of laying an egg here. And doesnt Utah have like 24 seniors on the team?

But I can't pick my nose right now. Hey I thought I saw in my NFL
thread last week where you tailed me on KC. Sorry about that one man.
286 rush yards to Jerome Harrison, that's good stuff. Even though I'm
pretty sure I'd make that pick again 10 times out of 10. Josh Cribbs 2
kick ret TD's and 286 yards from an unknown back. Find me someone who
saw that coming and I'll kiss them. KC puts up 500 yards and 34 points
and still can't win the damn game. Sorry, ranting.
As far as Cal goes, I just
think they show up tonight and if they do they should cover -2.5. I was
reading some of the Berkeley papers and the defensive coordinator was
really pleased with how things were going in practice. He said they
have reeled off 6 or 7 practices in a row that have been the best they
have had all season and they feel like they should perform much better
against the spread offense this time compared to the Oregon game where
they were raped. There was also a coach and couple players talking
about how big this game was going into the off season to give the program some positive momentum. Cal was a big disappointment this season and they were absolutely embarrassed in their regular season finale. A win here would be big for them and they know it and want it. Utah has won 8 bowl games in a row but their frosh QB has said he's feeling some pressure to keep the run going.
You make a good argument with the conferences though. The gap between the "power conferences" and the other conferences is shrinking each year. I kind of feel like OSU was in a terrible spot last night though after being a cunthair away from the Rose Bowl as you say. Going from a potential Rose Bowl birth to some shit bowl against BYU isn't going to inspire much out of 18-22 yo kids. Cal will come to play tonight.
Smaller than my NFL plays but I went with Cal -2.5
GL buddy. Hopefully you get a 3.5 and the game lands on 3.

Fuck man, that KC game had me in a rage. If I cap a game dead wrong and lose(cough cough Redskins), I don't mind it. But that game was bananas. Seems to be a lot of games like that lately!
You have some real good points with Cal. I really don't have an argument. Motivation vs the x's and o's? What capping angle shall bring in the money tonight? Good luck, dude! I'll catch up with you in the pro forum sometime after the holiday madness passes. Merry xmas to you and yours.
Bruce, I haven't followed college as much this year as prior years, but iirc Utah had many returning players this year. Hopefully that experience translates to a disciplined game tonight.
Devsfan, good luck. Let's cash it in 2nite.
