Bama's offense did both last year, and because they are much improved on that side of the ball this year, they should be able to do it again this year.
The real problem for Florida in this game is they will struggle mightily to score against Bama's defense. They will not even sniff 20 points in this game. The formula is very simple. Shut down Tebow, and you shut down Florida. Other than maybe Hernandez, there is nobody on that side of the ball that remotely concerns Bama's defense.
Florida's offense has struggled to sustain drives all season, and Bama will put them on a long field all day. To score points, they will need to drive the length of field, and that is something they won't be able to do against Bama's defense.
As far as the physical aspect of the game is concerned, Bama is clearly the tougher more physical team. They were last year, and they will be again this year. If it comes down to that, Florida will lose.

Florida's offense versus Bama's defense is a mis-match. The only real threats Florida has on that side of the ball are Tebow and Hernandez, and I can promise you neither of them will beat Bama. Bama's defense will completely smoother Florida's offense in this game.
The score predicted above (23-10) sounds about right, but there is no way in hell that Florida will score anywhere near 23 points in this game . . . not happening!!!
Bama ML is an easy winner!!! You can wait until after the game to thank me!!!
I agree Jimmy |

If Mark Ingram is not 100 percent, it is even more difficult for Alabama to reach that level. FLORIDA 33-16.
Jax, I absolutely agree with you on Tebow and the Florida team in its totality being winners. Tebow pretty much single handedly beat Bama last year in the 4th quarter. These guys are winners, and they are also very experienced. I defininitely think the experience factor helped carry them in last year's game. And if they win the game this year, I think that'll probably be the difference again.
Other than that, Ingram's health will be no factor in this game, and if you think Florida will score anywhere near 33 points in this game, you've been toking on some pretty damn good garbage!!! If Bama scores the 16 points you predict, that may be enough to win the game, because there is a pretty good chance Florida won't get there.

#29 Posted: 12/1/2009 6:56:07 AM I think if this game goes to the 4th quarter tied Florida with the more experienced qb will pull out the victory like last year. If either team can get up by more than 10 points it will be very tough for either team to come back.
Should be a great game again this year and I think the winner will represent the SEC very well in the Championship game. |

i don't agree with ripped , but in the early part of the 4th qtr , lsu was leadingf, may have been towards the end of the 3rd qtr , the kid from lsu that is going to be a 1st rounder was out of the game from an injury on the play before , the freshman cb got out of position and the ol made the block on the kid to spring jones 73 yds - take that play away and it's a different game
also c scott was torching the tide defense , he got hurt in the 3rd qtr and did not return - florida's d held him in checkl most of the game
the kid running into the punter didn't help either , it was a legit penalty
my main points is bama needed a lot of things to go their way against lsu ....florida completly shut down lsu , the gators were never threatened in that game
lsu in my opinion is the best team not in this game , undisiplined , bad coaching , etc etc ....but most talent other than bama/uf
lsu had no shot at home against uf , bama needed a lot of things to go their way to beat lsu at home
i think tebow doesn't have to do much in this game , the florida def will carry the day on saturday

#34 Posted: 12/1/2009 11:35:25 AM honestly Florida can win by 2394023 and this wouldn't have been the game of the year as far as betting ATS...a game of this magnitude simply has no chance of having more value than every other game throughout the entire year...to think you have such a big edge over vegas in the biggest game of the year to date is beyond absurd.

If you are trying to argue that LSU should be in the title game they still would have had 2 loses in the SEC if the won against Bama...
About Bama struggling against LSU, lets look at who UF struggled against.. Bama beat Arkansas 35-7 and Miss St. 31-3.. UF needed help from the refs to beat Arkansas 23-20 and Tebow had 2 pick 6's in the Miss St. game where they won 29-19.. Both have stuggled this year against opponents.... |

#40 Posted: 12/1/2009 2:41:27 PM Yet another "Tebow is Jesus Christ at QB" worshiper.
Bookies make $$$ on star appeal.
Tebone is an emotional player, and a good leader, but please don't convince others to buy into player hype--he is a good runner, but a few helmet knocks from the Bama secondary (which I look forward to) and he won't be feeling happy on his throws, PLUS his best receivers (his bread and butter hands) are in the NFL.
Anyway, BAMA will control the ball on long drives, so expect a low scoring game--AND PRESSURE THROWS--non of this FLorida State BLOWOUT wins where he looks like Jesus Christ Superstar because the game is already won and FSU is giving up.
Urban Meyer practices decption--but Bama coach does the same.
Florida has better recruits every year--don't mean garbage in this game.

who is the 3rd best team in the confernce , who else in ranked in the top 20 from witihin the conf?
who is florida's biggest game every year???
sure fla stuggled with Ark after going all out to beat LSU the week before in a prime time game in tiger stadium a letdown was expected after a max effort , then they play who miss st and don't play a great game , well why , it's no coincidence to me that their biggest rivarly game was on the doccet next week UGA - so the ark game can be explained as a letdown from LSU and the Miss St game
outside of those 2 games they were never in any serious trouble for the whole season
to me LSU is clearly a notch below these 2 and LSU had no shot to beat UF , bama needed a lot of things to go right for them to win the LSU game
I'm not saying LSU should be in the sec game - they lost 3 games , i know that - but they are the 3rd best team in the league and they never had a shot at home agaisnt florida
lsu lost a db a future 1st rd pick on the jj 75 yrd td , he didn't do a whole lot the rest of the game , lsu lost a star rb in the 3rd qtr and the qb went out also ------all breaks for bama ----if those don't happen that could have lost to LSU (they would still be in the sec game , i ain't a dummy i know that) |

#42 Posted: 12/1/2009 3:43:22 PM There has been some discussion about the line movement--IMO, the Public will ride Fla. the rest of the way. I wouldn't figure this line to come down.....my best estimate is that it will close 6 or 6 1/2...
If Fla. wins & covers, the Public will bet the Gators in the Championship Game. No matter who they play or the line....

Personally speaking, I will have a major hard-on everytime Tebow gets drilled by heavy contact. I want him to get hurt--just like 95% of America is tired of this arrogant PRICK! Alabama is the Roman Legions, and tebow is going to get CRUCIFIED (please, he is waaaay overdue)!!!
There is no God if Alabama doesn't drill Tebow and lay him out (or God forbid) Tebow's smiling shitface smiley brainbox fuckface is walking off with the trophy--I will puke buckets for weeks. |

That wasn't a bash. It as an opinion. A strong opinion as compared to "How will Bama win." I dont think anyone took this out of context. If they did my apologies. |
