My prediction is Cincy's Brian Kelly. Great offensive mind and can relate to players better than Weis.

Who you like to replace Weis in South Bend?

Urban Meyer is not leaving Florida, especially if he wins a national championship this year.

why the F would urban meyer leave florida for notre dame. what are you people thinking. he coaches in the south. warm weather all the time. he gets to be around all the fly honnies. he has basically no academic restrictions. there may be some but there no where near notre dames. your crazy if you think he will leave florida. there is no upside to the notre dame coaching job. live in the is and not the was here folks. notre dame is no longer a college football power house. no one will win there because the KIDS DONT WANT TO PLAY THERE ANY MORE

people are saying this because urban meyer said it was his dream job.  he has nothing else to prove at florida. he has dominated the game for the past 4 years.  notre dame would be a huge challenge for him and if he succeeds their he might go down as the greatest coach of all time.  dont think ferentz will go. if he leaves iowa it will be to coach on sundays.

 i dont think its kids dont want to play there as much as the high academic standards, I think that had alot to do as to why Meyer didnt go the first time, he wanted them lowered and they wouldnt budge

 I think Dame is huge upside, IF he can make them a national title contender again, he would be king of king, but def is a tough task at this point

All I know is that the kids that play defense are just totally sad.  They would be lucky to start at an Ivy league team.  Truly is an embarassment to a school with so much tradition.

Meyer wont be coaching Florida in the National Championship because he'll be recruiting for ND.

I'd love to see Gruden there, but thats not happening. Whatever happens, ND needs to make a BIG splash and get someone who's a big name.

I just dont understand how they UND put themselves in a postion that they will have to pay weis $18 million for buyout...DOPES

UM would leave FLA because of the challenge......and if he wins another nat championship i would be surprised if he didn't leave in a year or so.....

the reason why he won't go to ND is because of "academic restrictions" in place.....

plain and simple ....the way to build a DOMINANT team....is to be able to recruit AND enroll.....300 lb DT's that run 4.6-4.7 or so......(seldom are these type of individuals your best students).....not offensive talent .....but defensive front 7.....that makes you great

They just stopped paying Willingham this year an now they will have to pay Weis not to coach for the next few years -

Kelly or Fitzpatrick (NW) - both good Irish names who have shown they can recruit in the midwest and coach a little bit as well.
