#2 Posted: 11/6/2009 10:09:59 AM Why ILLINOIS?
Illinois has finally found their run game. Last week, they showed who they really were. Despite giving up a couple large plays, their defense showed up at the goal line. Watch for Illinois to RUN RUN RUN, which will allow Juice Williams/McGhee/3rd Stringer White QB to be able to look deep with the pass threat...
Minnesota allows 171yds/g on the ground! Minnesota also is playing without one of their top athletes and playmakers, Eric Decker. Decker has 5 TDs on the year with 50+ catches, he's also thrown a pass for a TD... Without this guy, theyre going to have to make up for it in their running game...which could help them playing ILL's front line... BUT, ILL's front line has looked more and more impressive the last couple games.
ILLINOIS comes out to play in this game, knowing they can win this game... They finally show who they really are with the athletes they had going into this season. Juice with a big game,

#5 Posted: 11/6/2009 10:31:43 AM Why KANSAS ST?
Lets look at the past couple games for right now. KANSAS lost to TXTECH, OKLA, and COL... three OKAY teams right now. And Kansas couldnt cover the spread against either one of them. When Kansas ST played these teams they won 1/3 covered 2 of them, and gave OKLA a pretty good game last week. I also love this matchup, because Kansas St is at home. They come to play when theyre at home. They have held their opponents at home to an avg of 11 pts this year. Granted, they havent played many great teams at home. But this is going to be a wild night in manhattan, considering this is a great rival between these two teams.
Though Kansas holds a 65-36-5 edge in the all-time series and have won three straight, K-State is 13-4 against the Jayhawks under Bill Snyder and 9-4 during the Big 12 era. Also, under Snyder, K-State has won the past eight out of nine games of the series played in Manhattan.
Not many know that Kansas State is on top in the BIG 12 North right now. They are 3-2 while Kansas is 1-3. Kansas State will come out to play in this game and hold onto that lead in the North.

#6 Posted: 11/6/2009 10:42:05 AM Why OHIO ST?
This game comes down to defense. Penn ST has not faced a good defense yet this season. I'll give them IOWA, but that team just plays to their opponent and their offense is what keeps them in the game, and is nowhere near the calibur of Ohio ST's D.
This is going to be a real news flash to Penn State, and its going to bite Paterno in the ass for not scheduling tougher teams.
Penn has given up 9.3 pts/g while Ohio St has given up 11.7/g... This game will come down to whoever runs the ball better. Ohio St is a little better balanced on offense. They run just as much as they pass. While Penn St will pass then run. Lets not forget, they have been getting away with big numbers because they have played a weak schedule...
In this game, I expect Pryor to be the playmaker, depsite the leg "injury"... I expect Darryl Clark to have an OKAY game despite having to face the toughest defense yet this season... Look for Penn State to turn the ball over, and for Ohio State to get the lead and sustain the lead, unlike last year. Can you say... revenge factor for the buckeyes??
OHIOST 17 PENNST 13 |

#9 Posted: 11/6/2009 1:35:56 PM man, if these hit (i'm going to do a $5 parlay for all 5), rounds and pizza are on me. Geez, i hope this is the right timing as I'm about to go on my trip back to Hawaii. I could use the extra moolah. |

you put $5 on the ML in a parlay for these 5, and you could be taking close to $930 with you to Hawaii...

do you have a Rosati's Pizza around you?? Thats the best pizza...
Some other good places to find pizza... Chicago - Rosati's or Giordano's New Orleans - any pizza by the slice on Bourbon Street Panama City - The Napoli NYC - Adrienne's
Scope those places out, and let me know! haha
And drink it down with an ice cold Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat or... simple Jack & Coke

#17 Posted: 11/6/2009 3:47:38 PM why don't i just throw in a hawaiian pizza since I'm already there? I just may throw in a puka dog (a foot long pig in a blanket with varieties of fruit relishes) as a bonus if i really do hit the parlay |

#25 Posted: 11/8/2009 12:14:56 AM Looks like your dogs did well. I was on ILL ML, Oregon St ML, Duke ML, and LSU ML, as well.
Nothing like going to 2-2 and still having 5:2 winning margin. |
