I think the real way to judge the overall power of a conference is not to look at its best or worst teams....but its middle of the road, win some, lose some teams....So lets look at a team like Arkansas in the SEC who is 4-4 and compare them to your (im guessing by your name) Wyoming team who is also 4-4.
Arkansas
18th in total yards, 13th in passing yards, 66th in rushing yards, and 8th in points scored
Wyoming
105th in total yards, 91st in passing yards, 83rd in rushing yards, and 83rd in points scored
Guaranteed that Arkansas would smoke Wyoming....or any 4-4 team in the country for that matter....Hell, Tennessee or Georgia who are also 4-4 would whoop up on any team with the same 4-4 record in the country....
Look man if you want to compare stats of the SEC to any conference PLEASE go ahead....but i dont think you will like what you find |

Well if they almost lost to the bottom dwellers of the division than doesn't that show the depth of the SEC if Tenn can hang with Bama & Ark can hang with Flr?
I do agree with you in the fact that Flr & Bama aren't as good of teams as last year but the same can be said about a lot of teams: Tex, Oklahoma, Penn st, Ohio st, Usc. |

Funny how you pick a week where 2 SEC teams got knocked out of the top 25 by SAME CONFERENCE TEAMS to start talking shit...
Anyone can look at week to week changes in teams ranked 15-25 and find a week where their conference is worth mentioning....
Look at history of performance, statistics of gameplay, and i dunno....THE TOP TEN and come back and talk to me about THOSE numbers |

Boise would lose to every SEC team except Vandy, they just plain suck....
SEC is the best conference by a mile, take a look at OOC record for SEC teams, then get back to me |

#25 Posted: 11/3/2009 3:26:20 PM Keep drinking the Kool Aid guys.....I'm not a Wyoming fan....I don't even know anything about them....The bottom line...look at BCS Top 25 Standings....SEC has 3 teams (2- BAMA & LSU OVERRATED) compared to Pac 10 which has 4 teams....Oregon (best team in country right know), USC (which would be a pick or favorite over BAMA or LSU), Cal and Arizona.....SEC gets so much HOMER love from you folks and media its laughable....The other power conferences are just as good top to bottom....I'm a Texas Tech fan by the way (which isn't even in the conversation).... |
