I know it won't happen because Oregon lost to Boise. Oregon doesn't deserve a title shot unless alot of teams lose and I'm not going to argue for them. They lost on the field so they deserve their fate.
All that being said, it would be great to have a system where they could just vote the two best teams in. The BCS is garbage and has been for years.
Oregon is clicking right now and when an offense like that is playing well it can't be stopped at the college level. I would love to see how they matchup with a powerhouse like Florida who also has alot of speed and a great coach.
Oregon would beat Bama by double digits, no brainer
Oregon would beat Texas by 14 or so
Oregon would beat Iowa by 21 or so
Oregon would beat Cincy
Oregon would beat Boise tommorrow if they played on a neutral
Florida would also beat all of the teams mentioned
I know it won't happen and I'm sure that some of you less than intelligent posters will want to argue this, but Oregon and Florida are the best two teams and that is who I would like to see play
I would have to give Florida the slight edge because of experience of being in the big game and Urban is a great coach, but Oregon could give them a game and possibly win
those are the best two teams, like it or not
if your a biased fan then please don't respond, I'm not biased at all to any league or any team, never have been, I just call it like I see it and speak the truth
let the great debate begin

This is just more reason to copy the box bitch program's (no names...) of scheduling Culinary and Fashion Design schools football teams and just winning your conference.
Five years from now every BCS school that thinks they have nothing to prove other than winning their conference will have the biggest joke OOC schedules ever seen, and that is fucking sad. What makes CFB so great are those inter-conference great match-ups, and I applaud all the programs that still schedule with some balls, instead of a big hairy box.

Please don't call this the "great" debate..... also, you didn't even mention TCU in the mix as they take care of Iowa, Cincy, Boise (beat them head to head last year) and would play Texas & Alabama down to the wire...

Oregon = PAC 10/soft

how about please don't respond to my thread? as always I expect a few of you in each thread and usually just laugh it off, but today is different
soft? how about speed? lets chat some football genious, I'm in the perfect mood to blast someone, you start and I'll finish, deal? I will be happy to give you a full breakdown of why Oregon will beat your favorite team and whatever team you want to give an argument for, I will give offensive/defensive matchups, the full works

While this TrafalgarWay guy does come off as a moron, he does have a valid point for TCU. UF and Oregon would beat them too, but TCU is arguably the 3rd best team in the country.

TCU is really good, love them, love their coach, love the way they play, he runs an honest hard working program and you have to respect the guy for what he does each year
not a big fan of Dalton @ QB but he does get the job done

Oregon beats Stanford by ________. That's all I want to know .
who knows if they show up mentally, it is hard to get players up after a victory like that over a program like USC
that being said, if they come to play and they play even decent then they will win by double digits, Stanford is a well coached team, but their defense doesn't matchup with Oregon very well from a speed factor
I lean to Oregon but it is a terrible spot for them

Oregon would beat Bama by double digits- Oregon would not score more than 10
Oregon would beat Texas by 14 - Laughable
Oregon would beat Iowa by 21- Could happen but not likely
Oregon would beat Cincy- I will give you that one
Oregon would beat Boise tommorrow if they played on a neutral- Would be a good game
Florida would also beat all of the teams mentioned- Not likely..
Oregon has not play a defense worth mentioning beside Boise.. USC has talent on defense but they returned how many players?? 2 on defense?? I would take any of those odds you just gave me and put my life saving on it....

Huh, wonder why I come off as a moron? Is it my lowly 3 posts... I might be an unknown but I've been a covers reader for multiple years now and decided to start posting once my capping came along with time... I don't just throw stuff at the wall to see if it sticks...

The way things look right now, I consider Oregon -10 (opener) to Purdue by far the biggest spread cover upset of the season... Christ.
That line would be 21.5 this week.
I know and I would lay that quickly, Oregon just started the season so poorly and never really got over that Blount news until recently, they are a completely different team now and CK has done an amazing job with them, their defense is even solid which makes them very tough to beat at this point

Oh hail no! The defenses that Oregon would face from Florida, Texas, Alabama and even Iowa are light years ahead than what they saw in USC's D.
Oregon is the best 1 loss team...that is it.
maybe the best comedy of the year, you deserve an award for that one
Florida and Bama are a little stronger on defense than USC is this year because of their youth, but in no way is Iowa, the Hawkeyes might have 1 player that would start for USC, maybe, and that is a big maybe
the athletes at USC are so much different than a school like Iowa, come on bro, get real

I can't have a reasonable conversation with someone who says Oregon wouldn't score more than 10 points against Bama, are you kidding me? South Carolina and Tenn can do that and that is at Bama
SEC is so strong right? how did UCLA (one of the worst teams in the PAC10 by the way) go into Knoxville and win over a team that should have beaten Bama???????
Oregon would trounce Bama, Bama could slow them down some but how would Bama put up enough points, their offense is so vanilla and easy to prepare for, they have no QB dude
wow, I'm in shock right now at how insane some of you SEC guys are, you really are blinded by the light

This is 100% true. The rest of you are taking this as some sort of insult to your program or your region or as a chance to degrade the USC defense (which does have issues no doubt), but it's just the truth. At this level, that offense, when hitting on all cylinders, would not be stopped.

Who says you need a QB to throw the ball?? Bama is a run 1st team... Who are you to think that Oregon could stop one of the best RB tandum in the country?? I know for a fact Bama or Florida would shut down Oregon... I might be wrong about only allowing only 10 points but I can assure you they would not put up 40, 30 or even 24 against Bama or Florida... To say that they would just shows how crazy you argument is... Defense wins out in the long run, that is why the SEC has won the last 3 Titles, they can shut down just about any offense.... Go ask the Sooners and everyone who said they would hang 40 on Florida's defense... Son you got a lot to learn if you don't think an SEC defense would not shut down that Oregon offense... You give me Bama or Texas + anything and I would put my whole bank roll on it...

wahoos is 40-40-5 on the year so take his wild opinions of oregon blowing out alabama, texas, and iowa with a pinch of salt
I can handle any criticism from anyone, I never hide
I post my record each week, but some of you don't realize how hard it is to be in the spotlight and post 60% winners every year, I did great for a while, I have struggled this season thus far and didn't have a great year last year (not bad though, nice profit)
I'm as good as anyone you will find posting on a gambling forum, you can think what you want, but I'm telling you how it is, record or not, not trying to come off as arrogant but if you truly had any idea of what I have accomplished betting sports then you would never question my abilities, some of these guys around here know, it is like a fairy tale story from the movies bro, I'm that guy, please don't mistake this for arrogance, that is not my intention at all

you make good points with regards to OU vs Florida, however, I bet Florida big in that game and I knew that last year, also there is no need to call me Son, a good argument is okay, we have our opinions, nothing wrong with that, we just disagree in a major way, Oregon would beat Alabama in my opinion on any field in any environment, that is my opinion, I really think Tennessee was good enough to beat them, the Vols aren't even in the same league as Oregon bro, please don't say they are, they couldn't even beat UCLA in Knoxville, every Pac10 team beats the shit out of UCLA every week
