Oddsmakers in a Tight SPOT
Because they KNOW
They will Have A TON of ACTION on the SOONERS
 
From EVERY /Bettors/Backer/Fans with Sick money
from every School that thinks it has a Chance to get TO get to the National Championship
 
EVERY ACC--BIG10---BIG East---PAC10...Bama,Florida(and the Delusional Fans from the other SEC schools)...Boise St.----TCU---etc...
 
They would only be STUPID to give out a ML of say +400 or more
 
Texas should be LAYING atleast 7 and a MAX of 14.5 IMO
I know the running game and O-Line have some issues, but the Defense/Special teams is TOP notch ....
McCoy might Finally Have A Monster Game
 
That all being said Oklahoma could win ...
I say they might in this spot 35% of the time

Not sure what we can agree or disagree with in this post.  Texas could win or Oklahoma could win.  OK has a very nice Defense this year.  The biggest thing I noticed about this series is it is never a close score at the end of the game.

i would put an accurate line on this game somewhere around Tx (-8)... i would lay the points with anything up to Tx (-6)...

In my opinion, 3 is the perfect line for this game.  But what do I know as I went 0-7 this past Saturday.  I had my arse handed to me.

I had this game lined at Oklahoma -1 off my PR's so I was happy with the 3 points they are giving.

i think you are exactly on point but texas wins this, oklahoma has nothing to play for right now as texas does, and after all bradford and mccoy are buddies right? odds makers want people to take oklahoma here.

not sure how you make your power ratings but if you have Oklahoma favored then your power ratings aren't accurate...

performance ratings for each team by week:
 
Texas:  10, 10, 9, 10, 8 (avg: 9.4)
Okla: 7, 10, 8, 9 (avg: 8.5)
 
no ratings given for non Div 1 games... OU would have to perform at a 10 rating in order to win this game by more than a FG... Texas would have to perform at a 9 rating to win this game by more than a FG... considering Texas has performed at a 9 rating 4 out of 5 games, i give that better odds than OU hitting a 10, which they have done 1 out of 4 games...

Texas opened at -1 on the lead line.  Oklahoma has shown nothing againt ranked teams.  Texas has owned OU in the last 4 meetings, going 3-1 S/U and 4-0 ATS.  I totally agree with you.  Sure OU can win the game, but Colorado can beat Kansas too.  Vandy can beat Georigia.  Wake Forest certainly can beat Clemson.  Do you see any of these lines at -1 on the opener,or -3 now?

Has Texas covered a spread yet this year = probably but they haven't seen as explosive this year.  Grest D but their running game got lit up by COLORADO at home and Colt has a few more picks this year.  Think it will be close and the line seems about right.

I have been to many Red River Shootouts and anything can happen.  OU will be up for this game without question.  As Bradford said, OU is the Pro team in Oklahoma.  OU and it's backers would like nothing more than to knock off undefeated Texas.  This is OU's superbowl at this point.  Oklahoma plays lots of cash on this one which will keep the line around 3 or 3.5.

I was born in Oklahoma and I went to school in Austin.  I know this rivalry well.

Texas hasn't played anyone and looked horrible against Colorado. 

OU is banged up.  Not a good offensive line.  Short on receivers.  No TE.

I think Texas actually shows up in the first half of this one. 

I have this game capped at -9.

I thinks Texas rolls in this one.  Texas -2.5 or -3 is a good play.

TEXAS is the play here for me.

This game comes down to turnovers.  This game will probably be tight till the 4th quarter, then someone will commit a stupid ass mistake and the game will pull away for someone.

I wanna see what the total is on this game first. Sometimes you can get a feel from that on what the books are thinking.Confusing, because I had this game higher at Texas - 8.

LOL...This is what I want to see since I have Oklahoma moneyline as my biggest bet to date.  Everyone keep taking Texas and McCoy.  I will be on OU moneyline big...Play of the year for me

Hope you're wrong, DU4L! Yet again, Bama jumps TX without them losing, so I think they know they have to win this game.  That and they've probably been looking at this date since the Tx Tech game.  BOL, but I feel we win this one and cover.  But, wouldn't go against OU covering the 1st half, TX always plays better in the 2nd half.

Texas wins this easily.  OU has no heart, especially not for a big game this year.  OU is going to pout the rest of the year and look horrible.  If you watched the Baylor game you know what I'm talking about.

i did and i do!  would have bet Texas up to (-6)... got it at (-2.5) instead... yummy!
