Rain to start early Thursday in Columbia MO and continue into the night. One model I look at places the heaviest stripe of rain right over central MO Thursday evening with the other model the heaviest amount somewhat south of the Columbia area at the same time. At any rate we are looking at a significant amount of rain in the area for Thursday and the coaches will likely adjust their game plans upon seeing this very large amount of rain. Rain amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the 6 hour window surrounding the game time. If it does pan out it may turn out like the VT/Miami game with continuous heavy rain. Im not sure about the continuous rain but Ive got a 6 unit play...

#9 Posted: 10/7/2009 8:05:07 PM I live 5 minutes from the Stadium...100% chance of rain tomorrow...it's already started too...just started raining a few minutes ago. I think this also favors the team with a better run game...and that's not Mizzou. Here's hoping though...GO TIGERS |

#13 Posted: 10/7/2009 10:57:15 PM Rain has subsided for now...the local news says that it should start back up early morning and continue all day long. Will keep you all posted. Good luck guys...I liked the under without the weather...obviously IMO this looks like a real solid play. |

#16 Posted: 10/7/2009 11:15:44 PM This should be solid unless it leads to horrible ball control. BOL

#19 Posted: 10/7/2009 11:52:43 PM This always seems to come up when it rains.
there is only 1 thing, when its wet out, the ball can slip out, bad passes can be throw right to defenders, and it can lead to short fields.
Yes, I am on the other side of this bet, but I am just saying. These teams are all over the scoreboard in thsi game normally.
to me, I just don't make plays "hoping " the weather helps. Its on turf anyway, not like the field is getting bad.
What if it just stops raining in the 1st QT? Would you still make this play?

#25 Posted: 10/8/2009 9:43:33 AM It's already over 2 inches in Columbia and they are expecting 3 to 4 more inches over the next 12 hours.
There is alos a possiblity for delays tonight as these storms are full of lightning.
I'm on the under, I got it at 52, I expect it to fall to 50 before kickoff. |
