I dont understand all the hate. I love what he's doing. He's got to turn that program around and become relevant again. And he's doing a damn good job. Fullmer killed that program the last few years. They became bland. Lane is bring life back to that program, even if he's coming across like a jack ass. But he needs to get Tenn back on the map. They'll be back in a couple of years. That staff is one of the best.
This has nothing to do with him being a former USC coach. I hated him when he was here. Thought he was overrated and I laughed my ass off when he got the Raiders job. Didnt even like the selection by Tennessee, but now that he's there, I love what he's doing. You cant go wrong with the staff he built. Thats going to be a fun atmosphere.
He'll definitely borrow from Pete Carroll. Pete's not successful because of his x's and o's. Kids want to play for him. They'll do the same at Tennessee.
I wonder which rat bastard coach in the SEC allerted the NCAA about this Bryce issue? This smells smishy.

This investigation is just a bunch of B.S. Try reading the entire article and you will find out that there are many other players besides Bryce that are involved. The fact is that some guy named Bryan Butler took Brice, and other players on trips to different schools. He raised funds for these trips, and claim that he did nothing wrong because these trips are for "academic" reasons, and not for football, which is a bunch of B.S WE all know that if these kids had to dependon their intelligence to get into college, McDonalds would have several more burger flippers.. Having said that, the NCAA should ban Butler form coming into contact with any potential recruit, and not nail the kids, who are not nearly smart enough to understand this.
Still, Kiffin has a big mouth, and people are out to get him, and rightfully so. You just don't barge into the SEC and announce that you are the greatest thing since Bear Bryant. Carroll had no problem letting him go, and the reasons why are becoming more and more aparent. Under Kiffin, Tennessee is headed for probation at a record pace, and you can make sure that Coaches like Sabin, who is currently going through it, and Meyer will see to it that Tennessee pays a price. Whether Tennessee likes it or not, they are still a 2nd tier operation in the SEC when it comes to football.

Tennessee hasnt always been a second tier team in the SEC. They were fantastic in the 90's. I miss the Tee Martin days.
They'll be back. Fullmer should have been gone 2-3 years ago. This will be a quick turnaround. This reminds me of LSU pre-Saban. They were terrible and got a coach that made them relevant again. You have to cross that fine line every once in a while. All the great ones do it.
This wont be like UW trying to be relevant in the Pac-10 again. Most people here probably dont realize they were the premier program in the Pac-10.

These alligations have nothing to do with Lane Kiffin they cant prove anything against him as many schools as Brown visited over the time he was being recruited they could blame many schools and many choaches people just cant ecept that Brown came to Tennessee just because Kiffin is a little cocky and has some minor recruiting violations he is the first suspect if anything Brown will be suspended for a couple of games. QUIT HATEN ON LANE

Lane needs to consult with Bruce Pearl and Pat Summit instead of all the controvercy. Bama is already after him because of all the times Fulmer blew the whistle on the cheating Tide program and right now you dont want to piss of Urban Meyers. Talk quietly and carry a Bigass stick.
