Certainly possible,...but the O-line scares me a little bit. Sooners got to play better in big games too and stop getting whacked in BCS games.

I really respect your opinion, b ut there is a lot more dates to look at than just those 2 games.
 
I don't like how there sched lines up at all. I think Baylor as a look ahead game is scary,then at KU the week after UT is not a great trip either. They also make a trip to Lincoln. Not to mention of course finsihing w/ bedlham.
 
I see at least 2 L's there.

I think they need to return to the option BigEastExpert. That offense didn't get it done when it mattered most. I think old No. 4 can probably get paroled and run a couple of QB keepers for the Sooners. Wishbone baby, wishbone. lol

crystalized my thoughts...

i like OU... but even if you think they can go undefeated... how can you really like their chances in the NC game?  at least a 50-50 chance they would be playing Florida... and if not, it's a good chance they would be playing USC...

both of those teams most likely whack an OU team that doesn't have the O-line that was the anchor of their team last year...

the only favorable scenarios require: a) Ohio St beating USC AND Florida losing at some point... or b) Penn St running the table AND Florida losing at some point... or c) Boise running the table and a whole lot of teams losing at least 1 game (maybe 2 for Florida)...

i think OU can beat Ohio St and Boise, and would at least have a shot against Penn St... but those scenarios all seem fairly improbable...

3)  11-7   at Nebraska .... Guessing this one might be Close

4)  11-21  at Texas Tech   shure the Sooners might win by 20+ but the Red Raiders will have this game circled

anyway... a key date that is being ignored here is Ok St...
 
without a doubt OU's toughest game will be Texas... but not far behind is their in-state rivalry with OSU...
 
so it should be:
 
1) Texas
2) Ok St
 
 
Nebraska, Tx Tech and the NC are not the key games on OU's schedule... these are... these games will determine whether or not OU is in the NC game...
 
that's all!

What about OU at the "U?"  Dont think that will be a gimmie. Theyll probably be favored by around 10-13.5 depending on how things go in the early goings.

OU can not win a BCS game.  They simply can not properly prepare for the Big Games.  Texas beats them this year, and they will not get any type of National Support like they did last year if they lose to Texas.  LSU beat the in the NC game in 2003, a game that OU should not have been in.  USC should have been there, and made sure that OU knew it the following year, when they put the worst beatdown in NC game history on them in 2004.  OU has never been the same since, nor has Stoops, who can not win a BCSgame to save his life.

BidD, correct on all accounts but one.  I hate to say it, but UF's loss to Nebraska was a few points worse.  Of course the only thing that saved OU was the trash TD at the end of the game against USC.  And that damn band still had the nerve to play when they got it.

killah bee you good in my book i think u know that but uhhhh them gatr boize look good from my standpoint.  i'm tryin to fight it but the more i look at it i dont see the letdowns and complacency issue this season knowing what happened with ole miss last yr.

Bee....................Gettin the board stirred up already....
I'm with you bud but not many giving them a chance to even win their conference this yr. They have a little work to do on the O-line as they only have 1 returning starter but I think they will get rolling pretty quick with Bradford back at QB. They have won the Big 12 title in 6 of the last 8 years and I think they can do it again this year making it 4 in a row. They will beat Texas this year and will do it with Defense imo as they are returning the whole D line. The only non-conf game that got my attention was at the U but upon further review, I believe they will be just fine there as it will be their 4th game of the season and that potent offense should be hitting on all cylinders by then. Theres no doubt they will have another tough schedule as they have to play 8 bowl teams from last season, but they did have a tough schedule last year as well In fact it may have been the toughest in the country.

NO WAY.......sooners have the talent.....don't have the NUTS it takes
couldn't beat a VERY young texas team LY ......horns / okie st on the RISE......sooners peaked ......now on way down (slowly).......although understandable if don't agree since great talent on hand.....they lose at least 2 ....then mail- in yet another bowl.......
* 1st game with BYU huge indicator......mormons will be ready.....sooners with huge talent / speed edge and should roll......if they do > watch out
if game is even reasonably close (which i think it will be)......sooners in trouble.......10-3......lose to horns.....okie st ......+ bowl..... or t tech
