#1 Posted: 11/21/2008 11:18:50 AM My initial lean was Toledo. I mean, if you look at the stats, the team matchups, the offensive and defensive comparisons, everything says that Toledo is the play. But I decided to look up the play by play of last weeks Miami/Ball St. game and I'm glad I did. Miami was leading the game midway through the third quarter. They gave up a big pass play for a TD, and then another TD that took 12 plays and 6 minutes off the clock. Raudabaugh is a good QB that's had a bad year playing good teams. He had a respectable game last week throwing for 242 yards against a great Ball St. D and I anticipate he will have a better week throwing against a Toledo team who cannot stop the pass(WMU threw for 225 and 3 TD's against them) OPelt only has 200 yards more passing than Raudabaugh, Both defenses are horrible, Miami has a huge advantage in the kicking game with Parseghian and Richardson, I'm not buying into any emotional factors such a win one for Amstutz. I think the line will move to at least 3 - this afternoon and I'll take it!
Miami Ohio + 3 - buying the hook |

With two other games on tonight, I'm gonna pass on the under bet, just afraid it will turn into a score fest with niether team having much of a D.

#11 Posted: 11/21/2008 4:10:55 PM who cares what happened last week? if you are betting a game based on what happened the previous week dont bother betting. this is a new week. miami oh played up to their opponent but still got beat.

I could not disagree more. This far into this season, with a close race for the division title has everything to do with what happened last week. Momentum is a huge factor! You just keep playing your Toledo beat such and such by this many, Miami only won by this many, therefore Toledo should win by this many routine. That should ensure you a victory here.

#16 Posted: 11/21/2008 5:07:29 PM It doesn't matter what happened the week before, absolutely. for both teams for that matter...it's one variable I pull into my consideration for sure. Maybe it's a bad idea...I should stop winning then and try some other way.
