I thought their game of the year was the home opener?
I thought their game of the year was the home opener?
Heres a write-up i had in another thread hope this helps...
PSU has one team on there schedule IMO and this is the game. They are not going to lose at home to IU or MSU. IOWA has one of toughest defenses IMO in the Big Ten. These boys can really get after it. Yes there offense can be shakey at time but c'mon there at home and playing the #3 team in the country you dont think they will get after it here in this spot. I dont care about the BCS standings moving them down we saw the same thing with OK and USC both teams that blew out there opponents last week and also moved down. All they have to do is win right doesnt matter if its by 1 or in a route they just have to win. I expect PSU to really come out sluggish for this game coming off a bye and turn it on late in the 4th to win by 3-4 points. Remember there toughest part of the schedule is out of the way and they are in the driver seat to win the BIG 10 so would not be surprised if they lay the egg here. Dont drink that PSU kool-aid!!! ![]()
Also some trends to look at in this game Undefeated teams 9-0 on the road are 28-42 ATS in conf play. I found a interesting stat also on here,
"Penn St is 2-7 ATS against Big 10 teams with revenge and 2-5 ATS as favs off a bye, so much for the bye helping. Unbeaten teams off a bye lose their momentum on the road off a bye, as long as their opponent did not win a non-conf road game last time out. Undefeated teams (at least 5-0) are 0-27 ATS in this situation"
PSU is 1-11 away ATS after allowing 10 pts or less there previous game (OSU).
IOWA is 5-1 ATS at home as a dog 7pts or higher and 6-1 ATS facing teams off a bye.
