Texas has been a scoring machine. They've won with so much ease, it's been mind blowing really. Yet the Books favour them only by less than 2 TD - Fully knowing that everyone will be all over them.
Colorado at home isn't a bad team at all really. Yeah I know you'll be thinking 'What about that embarrasing blow out win a couple of years ago?' A good old fashion shallacking that Colorado suffered at the hands of the Longhorns!
I believeThis will be played with some revenge in mind by the Buffaloes, and with Texas looking ahead of themselves in their next week's blockbuster clash, I will take Colorado plus the pts here.

Oklahoma had no problems with Baylor (although many people thought they would) and I doubt Texas will have a tough handling Colorado, who have played 3 tough opponents in a row.

Aussie i follow your picks and am usually with you but i look at texas and see the maturation of colt mccoy and this Texas Defense is better than they've had in a while. Texas is looking like Oklahoma right now with the way they've been thrashing teams...

I am staying away from this game simply because I have 12-14 units out when kickoff hits.
I don't think Texas has shown any reason they cannot beat colorado +14. While Texas is always due for a midseason letdown, I just don't think colorado is it. Texas usually goes into their upset losses with some lingering question marks. So far there are none. The secondary is the only weakeness but it's Texas, the secondary is ALWAYS a weakness. They always have NFL prospects but always have sub par pass defense. Then again, Texas has consistant run defense so teams do plan to throw on them so sometimes the pass defense numbers are not indicative of talent.
Colorado let FSU control the game and they showed little heart last week in a game they had a shot in. Colorado will do a lot of mixing it up but I just don't see that as being enough unless they get some big strikes.
Texas isn't a team to cower if they get punched in the mouth, and I just don't see a come from behind.
If colo covers, it's by a point or two IMO.
To be fair, If this were Kansas State in the same situation I would be against Texas. Colorado just doesn't play Texas the way KSU always seems to. Texas DESTROYED a similar Colorado team 70-3 a few years ago.

Anyone remember Oklahoma losing up in Colo? And please, don't even bring that "well, that's Oklahoma, we're Texas!" bullshit in here. Ok. was a damn good team going up there, and Texas is a damn good team going up there.
Texas 2-6 as a Road Favorite since Vince left......
Usually, when you talk Texas running backs, they have about 1/2 dozen avg 5.0 ypc, and a couple guys going crazy, with a 6+ or 7+ yards per carry.
This year? Nope.
On the other hand, Colt McCoy has hit 80 outta 100 passes, which, and I'm no math major here, IS WELL OVER 50 PERCENT!
That 14-1 td/int ratio is pretty darn good, as well.
You can say "don't look ahead to Oklahoma" all you want, but when I tell you not to think about the Notre Dame mascot, what are you thinking about? It's human nature.......
Colorado has some good to great players, NOT A LOT, but I think they have enough to keep it close...............GLTA

Best of Luck Aussie. You work very hard and appreciate the effort for posting so early on a Sunday morning for the other Aussies due to day light saving. PS. Thanks for the tennis pick last night, it was in straight sets.

That's great I love it
Best of luck with your plays tonight everyone. Hopefully with a bit of luck too, Col should keep this within 10. Cheers

Cobber, hopefully we get this and can throw ALOT on the Grand Final tonight. It's pouring cats and dogs up in NSW! Should be a very low scoring affair tonight, but haven't even looked at the totals in that game yet. I'm staying well away until this game is over.
NMP, yeah mate daylight saving changes things quite a bit. But with the little ones running around at 5am!!!! doesn't make much difference to me. It's daylight saving time for me until they become teenagers :)

McCoy is a different QB this year......More playmaking with the running....He's not afraid to tuck it and can pick up huge chunks of yards when he does.....
Also....Texas D is making big strides....Buffs were exposed last week against an only average FSU team......
