People are clearly overreacting to this idea that Wazzou won't have enough time to stretch for the game.
 
Somehow, I have the feeling that such a distraction will have little effect. If anything, if this Wazzou team has any cajones, they should have been chomping at the bit all week long to avenge their hideously embarassing performances. To be honest, if I was a Cougar, I wouldn't mind getting on that field right after getting off the plane ride.
 
There's tremendous value right now with the Cougars. When you consider that this game opened at a pick' em--meaning the game is a total toss-up--to now one team getting 7 points, how can you not throw some on the Cougars, a wounded team catching extra points from the oddsmaker?

Washington State doesn't have the defense to stay within a TD of Baylor.

You know, for a Hall of Famer, that's not the kind of reasoning I'd expect to hear. A statement like that can only be reserved for after the game.

Clearly, all the money is pouring in on Baylor when people got word that the Cougars landed only 4 hours before gametime. How can Baylor come out and match the fire that the Cougars should have in this one?

The line was 6 at 5dimes for about 5 minutes, I came here to do some research.....went back to book WSU and the line went back down to 3.5

I think people should be getting on this Wazzou +6.5 (or better) train as soon as possible. At a higher number, there has to be a buyback coming.

Buddy, Washington State could have a Bye week, rest everyone, ready for this game, and they still suck on defense.

That's not going to change whether they arrive 4 hours before game time or 2 weeks.

No. I agree that based on their first two performance their defense suck.

How can they stay within a TD of any decent team when they are getting blown out?

I guess according to your outlook, the linesmakers didn't see Wazzou's first two games.

BAYLOR goes down hard if it stays under 7.  Six and a half or less it is WASH ST.  all the way....  I am the King of Vegas!!!

Let me be clear as possible....hopefully....

Books opened line at -2 Baylor at home against Washington State (which has been blown out in two games against two powerful offensive teams)

In football, everything is defense. EVERYTHING.

Teams win games, cover spread with defense.

If you can't stop the opposition from scoring against you, you have no chance of staying within a spread. That's a fact. Unless the opponent is as bad as you defensively.

Baylor at home -2 was a fantastic value, people realized that and kept betting it to move it to -4, now the sudden news of Washington State arriving 4 hours before gametime have people betting more Baylor and more and more.

Statistically speaking, a a bad defensive team on the road is not worth a +2 line.

Do you understand now? Or am I still not making any sense?
