I know what you mean. At least this year with a couple of the rule changes regarding the clock it makes the under definitely worth a look more often. Last year it seemed like they would be playing forever and the clock never moved. And like you said, OT in college is always scary when you play an under. Sometimes if I feel like a game is going to be close between two relatively equal teams and I lean under, I might not play it just for the fact that OT could occur.
Stay hot this week badlands...nice start to the season ![]()

There are a few things that made me uncomfortable with this game...Texas Tech has its highest preseason ranking since1977 and there is a lot of hype. Well, they came out and played ok against an inferior East Wash squad. I know what Tech's offense is capable of, but it is their defense that concerns me. They gave up a lot of yards and quite frankly points also to a team that should not have had that kind of success against them.
Nevada has the ability to run the ball very well in the pistol offense and make some plays through the air as well, especially at home. In 2007 Nevada averaged 39 points/game and 220 rushing yds/game. With the new clock rules, if Nevada can establish some sustained drives against a defense that still needs to prove itself, then that could mean 3 or 4 less possessions for Tech's offense. Those are the possessions that could be the difference in them covering the 10 point spread...on the road nonetheless.
Add to that the fact 80% of the betting public is pounding T Tech and I just feel like I can find better games out there to bet on. Not that who the public bets on determines if I bet a game or not, because it doesn't, but coupled with everything else I feel better leaving this one alone. Maybe I am wrong and Tech will come out and dominate the game. But Leach has a history of always keeping one or two games a year that are on the road a lot closer than they should be. So I am going to watch this game, see how this Tech defense and team reacts to this situation to give me a better idea for betting their games as the season progresses ![]()
