Does anyone think Vandy could upset OF. Vandy beat South Carolina, and almost beat Georgia. Vandy leads the sec in sacks, and UF gave up 6 sacks last week. UF has a horrible defense to begin with, and are also depleted due to injuries. I love Vandy to cover; but they may upset. Any thoughts?

I agree with Simmy on the BC/FSU game. If last Thursday night didn't prove that BC is a horrible football team and that Matt Ryan is vastly overrated, then maybe an FSU drumming this Saturday will. FSU's defense (especially their front 7) is better than Virginia Tech's. No doubt FSU watched the film of the VT game and took notice of how to shut down the overrated Matt Ryan. If you get any pressure on him he gets happy feet and folds up like a lawn chair. They should also notice from the tape what not to do - rush 3 and let Matt Ryan stand back there all day and pick you apart. Any decent college QB would have beaten VT in the last 3 minutes of that game because any decent college QB can pick any defense apart when given that much time to throw. VT gave the game away when they stopped bringing the heat in the last 3 minutes of the game - the same heat that had shut-out BC for the previous 57 minutes. FSU just might be the POD!!! GL ALL!!! FREAK OUT!!!

THANK YOU jimmy!!!! Im glad im not the only one who thinks Matt Ryan is overrated. After watching that game, noway should he be in top 3 for the heisman voting. I dont care what the weather was like. He was down right HORRIBLE until he threw a ball up for grabs and their happened to be a WR open in the endzone.

Ohiostatefootball - The amazing thing about the BC/VT game is that the media is pointing to that game as the reason why Matt Ryan SHOULD win the Heisman. In my eyes, Ryan's pitiful performance in that game should have ended any talk of him winning ANYTHING!!! The weather had nothing to do Ryan folding when he was pressured by the VT defense. I could list 30 college QBs who could have engineered the same comeback Matt Ryan did under similar circumstances. He had no rush whatsoever in the final 2 drives and made throws you would expect from any college QB. Furthermore, how for the love of God, with 8-men in coverage, does VT let a guy get behind everyone and then leave him standing in the endzone all by himself? Was this a great play by Matt Ryan? NO WAY!!! It was horrendous defense by VT. First it was a stupid defensive play call to abandon everything that worked for them for the previous 57 minutes of the game, and then is was piss poor execution to leave the receiver standing all alone in the endzone. How does that happen? To illustrate my point, I will point to 2 Alabama games. When Alabama played FSU, FSU's defensive front seven dominated the line of scrimmage. John Parker-Wilson never had a chance to set his feet and throw, much less scan the field for an open receiver and check down to alternate receivers. Compare that to the Alabama/Tennessee game. Tennessee was unable to generate any pass rush whatsoever. Bama's OL kept JPW clean the entire game. Result: JPW carved up the Vols secondary like a Thanksgiving turkey. Is JPW now a Heisman candidate? Hardly. Pass protection was the difference. If Bama could have protected JPW in the FSU game, Bama would have won. But FSU's front 7 was simply too fast for Bama. FSU has a teriffic and fast defensive front seven. They are bigger, stronger and faster than VT's defense. They will punish Ryan just like they did Bama and many other teams they have played this season. FSU's problem, as we all know, is their offense is dreadful. They probably have one of the top 5 defenses in the county. If they can manage to find any offese to complement their defense, they will be very tough to beat down the stretch. BTW, I had BC in a second half wager in the BC/VT game so I was very happy about the result. So don't think for a second I'm bitter about that game. I just consider myself very, very lucky to have won that bet. Believe me, I won't make the mistake of wagering on BC again the rest of this year. FSU beats BC straight up Saturday night. Bet on it!!! FREAK OUT!!!

i dont know if we watched the same game because the last drives i saw was matt ryan running back and forth forth for his life and making completions. he did not have all day to throw||confused.gif' border=0> fsu has no offense what so ever bc is more balanced. decent defense and offense.

Champ, I have seen BC play 3 times - Georgia Tech, Notre Dame & VT. What I see is a very average football team. They are NOT a Top 10 team. They are probably worthy of a 15-25 ranking at best IMHO. Can you imagine if they were to play an SEC team? It would be ugly. The only SEC team they could beat is Ole' Miss. Even Sly Croom's Bulldogs have too much defense for them. I've also seen FSU 3 times this year and their defense is among the top 5-10 in the country. They have a legitimate SEC caliber defense. Having said that, FSU is a horribly coached football team. How does a defense go off-sides 4 times in one drive as they did against Wake Forest? They absolutely kill themselves with penalties. They are a very undisciplined team. I'm not here to try to talk anyone out of their picks, but personally I believe FSU wins the game straight up. If Matt Ryan had the deer-in-the headlights look against VT's defense, imagine what FSU's D will do to him. Bottom line is I think BC scores 13-17 max in this game. If that is so, then FSU needs only to score 7-11 points to cover. That, my friend, is a damn good bet IMHO!!! HAPPY WAGERING!!! FREAK OUT!!!
