#6 Posted: 6/27/2008 1:02:07 AM I am leaning towards the Cubbies on this one. They got blown yesterday and I dont see them losing two in a row. They also owned the Sox last weekend. |

#12 Posted: 6/27/2008 8:50:50 AM Contreras is dogpoo right now. I don't see any reason why the Cubs won't pound him again.

#13 Posted: 6/27/2008 8:54:36 AM White Sox first game back coming off a road trip may be a reason to fade.
But Cubbies suck on the road and are only hitting .246 vs righties on the road
Sox pound righties at home.
Early lean towards Sox, but maybe under |

Jose is 3-3 even money at the Cell.
30 hits allowed and 5 walks in his last 16 innings. Nice.

#17 Posted: 6/27/2008 9:25:09 AM sox must be real anxious for another crack at dempster...
that game last weekend at wrigley they had men on base all game it seemed, dempster gave up 10 hits and they could only scratch 1 across the board.
this time around playing at home i think they get the key hits and win. |

#25 Posted: 6/27/2008 11:28:24 AM Quite simply Dempster is one of the best pitchers in the game right now and has been one of the most consistent all year. Hasn't allowed more than 4 earned runs in any start (and pitched 6 innings twice when he did). You'd be hard pressed to really find any bad start from him all season. You take him at plus money here against a pitcher that has been struggling facing a team that just pounded him.
Take a look at Contreras' career. He always has a good start the first couple months then turns to shit in June and July. He's right on cue. Besides he's getting old and bad anyway.
Cubs ALT RL big.
