yeah, Morrow is normally lights out, and he was again until lightning struck in the form of Vazquez...who by the way, got pissed in his previous at bat when smith pumped his fist after a strike out, thought he was showing him up....................well he got his payback&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;The mistake in the pen was made in the 8th, leaving that Schmuck Lowe in for about 3 batters too long

Because Morrow was absolutely dealing before the HR. He struck out all four batters he faced so why take him out?

You get a 3 run shot from Kenji and damn well better drop in Putz to give your boys a real chance on the road. &#xD;&#xA;Morrow was a bad call.....u guys know it.

generally on the road, you dont put your closer in until you have a lead and are pitching to finish up the game...had sea been at home, putz would have been used at some point...morrow was dealing though

I dont know much about the M&#x27;s but I know Putz is lights out.  He rarely blows saves.  Eventually they have to go to Putz.

If they took Morrow out after he was dominant in the 9th and Putz gave up a run there would be 20 threads calling the M's manager a retard right now. He made the right call leaving Morrow in there for two innings, he has actually been much better than Putz this season. You can't predict the end result so he played the percentages and it didn't work this time.

Morrow pitched the 9th and struck out the side. He then pitched the 10th, struck out the first batter than gave up the walk off HR.

smart teams walk vazquez when you have a fast ball pitcher who doesn&#x27;t have a breaking pitch he can throw for a strike.  you don&#x27;t let a #9 hitter beat you on the only pitch he can hit.

I thought the manager did the right thing, leave Morrow in the game.  If Putz came in the 10th inning and SOMEHOW the mariners scored in the 11th, he&#x27;d have to pitch the 11th also... and closers just can&#x27;t go two innings for some reason anymore
