I swore to myself I was going to try and cap every game this year at Coors.
I have tried and not done very well, in fact, I have been great fade material. I think I am about 1-7
Hopefully, I revert to the mean soon.
I did recognize that the Giants are simply not very good right now and have been successfully fading them most games.
Today-
I was watching the Mets last night and the announcer was talking about how the pitchers have a tough time in the cold. I admit, this was new to me. He was saying they have trouble gripping the ball and getting warmed up. I always thought about it for the hitter but never for the pitcher. This may explain, my terrible under capping for cold weather games at Coors, that have been going over at a prodigious rate again this year.
And it may be total BS, who the hell knows.
ADI is 45. This is a "normal" number for Coors. The Wind is blowing dead in from Right and we get two gasoline cans going . Tyler Anderson just has not been himself for his last 8 starts or so. His location is missing and he cannot or will not get his change over for strikes. They are sitting on his 92MPH fastball and that is bad news for a pitcher today.
Nats counter with the bottom of their rotation and it is the opening game of the series with the Rox having a tired good part of their pen..
I like the Nats here to out hit the Rox and take the Over

May not be significant, in fact it may have no relevance at all, but how many folks are aware that tonight will be the first time this season the Nats have faced a lefty starter? 18 straight games versus right handed starters. I am going to pass on this game but will be interested in how they do against Anderson. As you say, he has been struggling badly.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

It does suck gripping the ball in the cold. What's worse is when it's dry, low humidity. You can blow into your hand all you want and rub the ball, but without spit it's a worse grip. Cold and dry together is a nightmare.
Low ADI is also bad for the pitcher's movement on their pitches. We all know that it extends the flight of the ball on hits.
Coors is the last place a finesse pitcher wants to be
