nats starting cole who is 8-8, 4.26 era in 22 AAA starts this year against a orioles lineup that despite being cold has a lot of power and pop in it against a pitcher who doesn't have impressive numbers against AAA hitters.
Pirates -150
astros got hot in the series against the orioles and now go to pitsburgh, momentum is on their side here but there is no faith in fister who has been trending the wrong way his last few starts against a pirates lineup that is bound to bust out of their little slump they are in. taillon has been exceptional the times we have seen him but has a tough challenge today in a hot astros lineup. The pirates are bound to have a hot game and score runs, and I see that being today in an inter league game which loves to see lots of runs.
Red Sox -150
Red sox have been one of the hotter teams lately and are in tampa against a rays team that has also looked decent in their past games but their batting lineup is still not as deadly as bostons. Price has had some troublesome road issues while Snell looked great in his last start, however I think Price is due to get back on track and what better place then at the rays while snell is riding on momentum and is more likely to have a bad game today or in the near future. Give me the straight up better team to win the opener here
Yankees -115
Both lineups are deadly, this is just a bet based on pitchers to me and I give the edge to Pineda who looked very good in his last start and was working with nice pitching numbers against a kid I don't trust at all and has trouble striking out batters. Yankees fighting to get back in the wild race mix and I see another win here tonight, although it could be a high-scoring affair of back-and-forth.
Other leans:
Braves +117
I think people are underestimating the power in this braves lineup lately that gave the nationals problems, mean while Arizona is still arizona.
Astros/Pirates over 8 runs - interleague games love to go over and both these teams have potential to put up runs in bunches
Yankees/Mariners over 8.5 runs - both powerful lineups and not a lot of trust in Martin to keep it together.
